Welcome back Badmintoners!

We hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break. We’re pleased to announce the start of our Winter Season and look forward to seeing everyone back on court.

Our first session will be held this Wednesday at 7:00pm and will include registration and practice.

A second registration and practice session will be held on Wednesday 29th, with the competition officially commencing on May 6th.

Our Winter Competition this week will be played at the Benalla P-12 College Faithful Street Campus Stadium which you enter through Helms Court (Off Faithful St - see attached map). Be there at 7.00pm for setup and warm up for 7.15pm start.

We will confirm when we return to the Benalla Indoor Recreation Centre once the new roof is complete but at this stage, we will make this our new home for a short while.

This Wednesday 16th October we have our second registration and grading night before we commence our Summer Season on 23rd October 2024.
This will be our last registration and grading night before our teams are organised for our upcoming season, so all who are wanting to play the Summer Competition need to register by this Wednesday if you haven’t done so already.

We look forward to seeing as many people as possible this Wednesday with play starting at 7.15pm.

Winter Season Grand Final
Wednesday 18th September 2024.

Results were Team Bingo (Team 3) 469 and Team Bluey (Team 5) 425. Team Bingo was the Winner being the winner for this season.
We had 7 three game winners in the final being Tarquin B, Wayne M, Liz G, Renee K, W***y D, Tristian and Lachlan G.

It was so good to have so many supporters there to cheer on the players on the night.

Congratulations to both teams for making it to the finals and especially to the winners Team Bingo.

We also announced our Robert Warner perpetual trophy winner for Player of the Year which was awarded to Darrel Defazio. Well done Darrel on your award for the season.

So now we have a break before starting our Summer Season. We will be having social games on the Wednesday Nights through the school holiday break with games starting from 7.00 pm, all are welcome and a $5 door fee will be payable by all players on the night.

Our Summer Season Practice nights then start on the 9th of October and also 16th with two Practice and Registration nights so remember to come along and invite some friends if they are interested.

The Summer Competition starts this Thursday 19th October at the Benalla P-12 College Faithful Street Campus Stadium which you enter through Helms Court (Off Faithful St - see attached map). Be there at 7.00pm for setup and warm up for 7.15pm start.

If you have not already registered to play the Summer Comp and would like to play please contact Tim on 0417 537135 or email Benalla Badminton Association before Tuesday 5.00pm as teams will be organised Tuesday night.

The change of venue and day to Benalla P-12 College is anticipated to be for 6 to 8 weeks while the Benalla Indoor Recreation Centre is unfit for play.

There will be Tuesday morning social comp from 9.00-10.30am at the Indoor Recreation Centre (in the old part of the stadium). Please contact Lois on 0407 362366 for any further information.

***** Attention : Change of Venue and Practice Night *****

Hi all,

We have our second Practice and Registration night this Thursday 12th October. This will be held at the Benalla P-12 College Faithful Street Campus Stadium which you enter through Helms Court (Off Faithful St - see attached map). Try to be there by 7.30 and bring along your friends if they are interested. There is no charge for practice nights and we have racquets to borrow if you do not own one.

This is the final practice before the Summer Comp starts next week.

The change of venue and day (until further notice - hopefully it will not be too long) is because the Stadium was damaged by the rains last week and we are lucky that the P-12 College has their stadium available.
