❤️🖤🤍 Farewell Kel Holmes ❤️🖤🤍
After many years on the netball court, Kel has made the decision to hang up the netball dress, and while we’re incredibly proud to celebrate her playing career, we’re certainly going to miss having her out there!
Kel joined the Benalla Saints in 2024 and went on to play 40 games in the red, black and white. Before becoming a Saint, Kel played the majority of her career with her beloved Swanpool, where she proudly played more than 300 games. She brought a wealth of experience, competitiveness and love for the game with her to Saints.
Kel quickly became a key member of our B Reserve side, helping the team reach finals in both 2024 and 2026. Unfortunately, a knee injury saw her sidelined for the entire 2025 season, but in true Kel fashion, she worked her way back and returned to the court this year.
Kel’s contribution to our club extends far beyond what she does on game day. Since joining Saints in 2024, she has coached our Under 15s and this year also took on our Under 17s, giving so much of her time, knowledge and encouragement to the next generation of Saints netballers.
Kel is an incredible asset to the Benalla Saints, and we feel very lucky to have her as part of our club. While we’re sad to farewell her as a player, thankfully we know she won’t be going too far! With her girls, Millie and Remi, coming through our junior netball teams, her husband Simon contributing as a valued board member, and Sully, who we’re sure will one day pull on the red, black and white himself, there are plenty more years of the family at Saints ahead of us.
Kel, thank you for everything you have given to the Saints, as a player, coach, teammate and club person. You’ve been an amazing teammate and friend, and your mates are certainly going to miss having you beside them out on the court.
Congratulations on a wonderful playing career, Kel. We can’t wait to see what your next chapter at the Saints brings. ❤️🖤🤍
