Counting down the days til Barellan Working Clydesdales "The Good Old Days" Weekend
Last year l loved every minute and this year lm so thankful to be invited back for the 3 days of this AMAZING Festival. Everywhere you look you see something unique, it is a total celebration of Australian Heritage. From the Camel Teams to the Welsh Pony Team, Goat Teams. Demonstrations of Clydesdales under Side Saddle, Making of Horse Drawn Cart Wheels, Chaff cutting displays l could go on and on but best you get in quick and book your Festival passes and camping. Being such a strong rural/farming community lm looking forward to giving back to the communities of Narrandera and Leeton and meeting some of their residents at the Aged Care Facilities and doing a few free performances in the days prior to the Barellan Festival. Emi East, the recently crowned NSW State Whip Cracking champion, will be back at Barellan this year for the Good Old Days Festival. During her stay Emi will be giving free performances for the residents of Assumption Villa Leeton and the Masonic Aged Care in Narrandera. Also the Riverina Motel owners are covering the accommodation for the day Emi and her mum Katie are travelling to the aged care facilities. "It's a first for Emi doing this but l know she is looking forward to it," Katie said. Well done ladies 👏👏👏

Waltzing Matilda is our 'Unofficial Australian Anthem', and a part of our identity. It was used by our troops, not only as a marching song, but a connection to home. I wish to pay tribute to the Men, Women and Animals that served. Lest We Forget.

Loved chatting to Annie from the ABC Radio's Victorian Country Hour after the Re-enactment on Friday!
⏩️Skip to the 39min mark to hear my section, or listen in to an hour of amazing stories from The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival.

Over the weekend the town of the Corryong in Victoria’s High Country grew from 1,500 people to 20,000 for the 31st Man From Snowy River Bush Festival.

This year more than 80 of the country’s best riders competed in the Man From Snowy River Challenge, displaying a range of horsemanship skills.

But one of the highlights of the festival is the live re-enactment of the Banjo Patterson’s poem. With stockman Guy McLean bringing ‘the c**t from Old Regret’ back to the station, and champion whip cracker Emiliqua East.
