I’m officially retiring from the “marathon” meal prep sessions. ☕️🍳

As a family of four, I’ve tried those Sunday cook-offs so many times to make our busy weeks easier. But honestly? They just took too much time out of an already short weekend, and I’d end up missing out on family time and feeling more drained before the week even started.

Lately, I’ve realized that for us, the planning is actually more powerful than the prepping.

Now, my Sunday ritual is just 15 minutes with my morning coffee and a few of my favorite cookbooks.
(Shout out to - who’s cookbooks are so easy to follow and fits perfectly with everyday life)

It’s my quiet time to browse for ideas that actually sound good - not just things that “store well” in a plastic container.

🙌🏽 What’s making the difference for us:
🧡 Sharing the Load: Mapping out breakfast, lunch, dinner, and school lunches on our shared calendar means my husband and I are both in the loop. No more “what’s for dinner?” mental fatigue at 5:00 PM.

🧡 The “Safety Net”: We’ve all had those weeks where we don’t get a chance to sit down and do this. For us, those are the weeks that end in expensive takeout or last-minute school lunch orders because we’re just too tired to think.

🤩 The goal isn’t a fridge full of perfect containers; it’s just making sure that when life gets loud, our “convenience” meal is a healthy choice we already have waiting for us. 🌿✨

This Member spotlight is incredibly close to my heart 🧡

This is my eldest daughter, and watching her journey at Wellbeing HQ has been nothing short of inspiring. For the past three years, she's been attending our youth class, where we prioritise building the foundations of correct movement. This focus on fundamentals is crucial for long-term fitness and injury prevention, and it's something we instill in every young athlete who walks through our doors. Over the Christmas break, something shifted. She decided to step up, joining our general classes three times a week, and then, she set her sights on the CrossFit Open.

The Open is a challenge for anyone, but for her, it was a testament to her resilience and determination. She faced many obstacles head-on. Her strong foundations enabled her to achieve 21 kipping pull-ups, a skill she's still mastering, without the aid of a band. She powered through 42 double-unders, another skill she is still mastering. And she conquered 15 wall walks, a volume she'd never tackled before.

'Proud' feels like such an inadequate word. Watching her push past her limits, embrace the challenge, and emerge stronger is an indescribable feeling. In an environment where she feels supported and empowered, I know she'll continue to achieve incredible things. I can't wait to see all that she accomplishes, not just in fitness, but in life. She reminds me every day why I created Wellbeing HQ – to foster a community where everyone can discover their strength and potential. You make me so proud.
