Ballet Academy Northside (Dance B.A.N.) is one of the longest established dance schools on the northern beaches, located in the Frenchs Forest, Belrose, Terry Hills and St Ives area.We offer the highest standard of traditional education in Classical Ballet from the Royal Academy of Dance and innovative Open Ballet Classes & Contemporary training, Jazz Dance, Lyrical Dance,

Acrobatics, Musical Theatre & Drama, Flamenco, Pre School Dance, Pilates and Progressing Ballet Technique. We value the importance of nurturing the growth and development of each individual dancer, whilst guiding and encouraging enjoyment and creativity in dance.

Ballet Academy Northside and Sydney College of Dance proudly present their 2026 production — a vibrant celebration of dance, creativity and talent, showcasing the outstanding achievements of our students.

This year's performance features a spectacular double showcase:

🐇 The Adventures of Alice – based on the works of Lewis Carroll, this vivid and exuberant story ballet brings his beloved classics to life. Follow Alice down the rabbit hole and discover the weird and wonderful characters of Wonderland, in a spellbinding production for audiences of all ages.

✨ Elements – a striking celebration of movement inspired by earth, air, fire and water.

Today, we join dancers around the world in celebrating the joy, passion, and beauty of this incredible art form. At Ballet Academy Northside, we are so proud of our dedicated students who bring commitment, artistry, and heart into the studio each and every day. 💫

Dance is so much more than movement - it is expression, connection, creativity, and storytelling. It is where friendships are formed, confidence is nurtured, and a strong sense of community flourishes. Through training, rehearsals, and performance opportunities, our dancers continue to grow as expressive young artists, developing their own unique artistic voices and a lifelong love of dance.

Whether in the studio or on stage, our students embody the spirit of this day through their dedication, creativity, and passion for the art form.

Chiara competed at the Platinum Dance Competition in Kiama on Saturday, achieving exceptional results in the 15 Years & Over section:

✨ 1st Place – Classical Ballet
✨ 1st Place – Lyrical
✨ 1st Place – Commercial Contemporary
✨ 2nd Place – Traditional Contemporary

In addition, Chiara was awarded the Outstanding Technique Award for her age group — a wonderful recognition of her strength, precision, and artistry.

We are incredibly proud of Chiara’s achievements and the dedication she continues to show in her training.

We are incredibly proud of Chiara, who has been awarded 2nd Place in the 15 Years & Over Classical Ballet section at the IRBD Eisteddfod 👏

This is a beautiful achievement and a testament to her dedication, artistry, and consistent hard work in the studio. Chiara continues to grow as a dancer, and it’s wonderful to see her commitment recognised on stage.

A big congratulations also to her teachers for their guidance and support.

Wishing our BAN & SCD Families a very happy Easter! 🐣🐰✨

As we wrap up Term 1, we would like to thank our wonderful students and families for a truly fabulous start to the year. We are so proud of our students’ achievements, dedication, commitment, and the beautiful progress shown in classes each week. It has been a joy to see our dancers enjoying their classes and growing in both confidence and artistry.

We’re also looking forward to an exciting Term 2, as we begin preparations for our theatre production of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and pre show ‘Elements’.

Wishing everyone a happy and restful Easter break - we can’t wait to see you back for a magical Term 2! 💛

Today we celebrate the strength, creativity and leadership of women everywhere. At BAN and SCD, we also celebrate the next generation of young women who will shape the future with courage, creativity, friendship and kindness.

We are inspired daily by the incredible women across our community - teachers, mentors and young dancers who dedicate themselves to their artistry, support one another and pursue their dreams with courage and determination.

Dance has always been a powerful space for women to express, lead and create, and we are proud to nurture and support the next generation of strong, confident and inspiring women.
