There was plenty of red, blue and white flying high over the weekend, and our crew certainly gave us plenty to cheer about! 🔥

🏆 F/TR - A huge congratulations to Ben Patti, taking the win in a strong field and showing exactly what it takes to get the job done!

And our tri-colours were right in the mix:
🥉 Jason - 3rd
5️⃣ Leon - 5th, including a Day 2 Aggregate win
7️⃣ Cameron - 7th

And Josef was absolutely on a roll! 🔥 Winning the 300y agg, 2nd in the day 1 agg, and the win at 800, before his early finish.

🏆 F OPEN - Douw de K**k was in cracking form, winning Day 1 and backing it up with 2nd on Day 2 to take the overall win by centres from Brian Potter and Kev Kruger. Massive effort, Douw! 👏 Well done Tim on winning the 800 aggregate and the day 2 aggregate! So good.🔥

And Terry finished the weekend strongly in FSA, taking out both the 900 Aggregate and Day 2 Aggregate. It wasn't quite enough to steal the overall win, but a valiant 2nd place is one heck of a way to finish in his first competition after moving to A-Grade! 💪

And to every single one of our tri-colours who competed - whether you took on one day or both - stand proud. You put yourself on the mound, took on the conditions and gave it everything.

We couldn't be prouder. 🖤💛💚

What a weekend for our tricolours at the Goondiwindi Rifle Club OPM for 2026. Ben Patti takes the win in F/TR and Scott Townsend takes TRC while Andrew Baker finished 5th.

Ben took the clean sweep of Day 1 agg, Day 2 agg and 2-day agg! Massive achievement in difficult conditions!

🇦🇺 A TOUGH DAY AT THE OFFICE. It was a tough one for many of our tricolours today, with 500 yards proving a real test. But, as always, they gave it everything they had right to the final shot. 💚💛💚

After a huge month on the ranges across the world, it’s no surprise that some of our members are taking a well-earned breather before the calendar fills up again.

Enjoy the break, recharge the batteries, and we’ll look forward to seeing you back on range soon!

Tri-colour magic filled the range from morning practice to afternoon's competition! Nice to see Phil getting some time behind the rifle after a big stint on range as ET and RO over the last few weeks. Well deserved. Reilly also had a solid hit in practice this morning as he prepares for October!

After a big week at the Kings and TR Teams, Hamish was back at it with a very tidy 105.12 in TR. Wendy had a great hit-out in FSB - 4 down with two solid strings. Leon was back doing what he does best although Ben's return from Bisley pushed him! Greg was solid as always and Cameron only a few behind. Seems Greg also had a great hit-out in SPCO with a very tidy 105.14.

To all our tricolours who competed today - great job! Nice to see the club represented so well on range.

Congratulations Cameron Free - success at the National Veterans Teams Matches - coach and shooter. Gold in Match 1 and Match 3 - the grand aggregate in F/TR in some of the worst conditions we've seen on the Duncan Range.

Add a 2nd place at the 300 yards and an 8th place in a highly competitive King's field in F/TR and we are super proud of what you've accomplished. Well done Cameron!

What a week for Greg Faux. Starting with National Veterans Matches with wins at Match 1 and the grand aggregate! That's gold! Well done Greg and the QLD F/TR team which also included our other superstar, Cameron Free. Sharing the wind-coaching duties, they steered the team through some horrendous conditions - showing us what real teamwork is all about.

Head into the King's and the magic continued. Greg claimed THIRD in the King's - with wins at the 600y, 800y 900y and thirds in the day 2 agg and the 900y on day 3.

What a week - what a result - so well deserved by our champion!
