Belmont Baseball Club Established in 1955 Belmont Baseball Club is nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie and plays out of first class facilities at Miller Field.

We are a family orientated club and pride ourselves on providing a fun atmosphere that is conducive to the sporting and personal development of all Members from our tee-ballers through to our not-so-young Masters competitors. Belmont is very supportive of the concept of 'good sports' and adheres to rigorously developed Codes of Conduct covering both on and off field aspects of the Club's operations.

Congratulations to Zavier Thompson, the Newcastle Baseball Association - Little League MVP

Zavier delivered an outstanding performance that truly showcased his talent and determination throughout the season. Here are the highlights from his impressive game:

⚾️ Clutch Hitting: Zav started strong with a single on a ground ball to third base, driving in 1 RBI and setting the tone for his team’s offense.

⚾️ Dynamic Plays: He followed up with a line drive single to left field, and with some fielding errors, he advanced all the way to third base, earning an impressive 2 more RBIs!

⚾️ Dominant Pitching: In a tense moment during the grand final, Zav struck out 2 batters with 3 pitches, and then made a stellar catch on a line drive back to him, securing the third and final out!

A huge shoutout to Austin Turner, the Newcastle Baseball Association - 2026 Grand Final MVP for Senior League.

In a thrilling final match, Austin showcased his incredible talent and determination, leading the team to victory with an unforgettable performance. Here’s a recap of his remarkable game:

⚾️ Clutch Moment: Down by one run, Austin hit a stunning RBI triple to tie the game, showing his resilience and skill.

⚾️ Grand Slam Glory: With the bases loaded in the bottom of the second, he knocked an inside-the-park grand slam, boosting the score to 6-1 and electrifying the crowd!

⚾️ Defensive Heroics: Not only did he shine at the plate, but Austin also made a critical play by tagging out a runner attempting to steal home, just as the clock hit two hours, sealing the win with a final score of 8-5.

Austin was responsible for 7 of the 8 runs, either driving them in or scoring himself—a true MVP performance!
