Was planning to race this one this season, however the way my back has been I've decided to give the short travel bikes a miss (for this year at least). I did however get a chance to turn some dirt on her today to check the jetting before it goes to the new owner (yes, it's been sold). These little Elsinores are way fun, this thing rips!

Who out there in VMX land wants a top level set of shocks at a fantastic price? Brand new YSS RG362 non reservoir shocks, 320mm eye to eye, 8mm x 20mm bushes, adjustable pre-load, adjustable rebound control, sprung for 75-100kg rider, comes with a set of bushes to allow a 5mm offset for bikes with chain clearance issues. I've had a "slipped disc" pushing on the L3 nerve, torturing me for the best part of 6 weeks now. Little to no actual back pain but horrific pain from my left butt cheek, up & over through my groin, down the inside of my leg. I have a very high pain threshold but this has been next level. Slowly on the mend (I think), pain has subsided to 5 out of 10, still can't lift anything substantial, not real keen to bend over, certainly can't throw a leg over a bike which is more than frustrating (missed the first round of racing). The main issue is my left leg is dead, numb & sore at the same time, no power at all. Have to walk slowly & deliberately so as not to trip over, to say I've been somewhat unproductive is an understatement! I have however managed to churn out a couple of tanks over the last week, so hopefully the tide is turning.

A couple for the Yamaphiles. Extremely nice, restored (not by me) 1977 YZ125D. A good amount of NOS parts including cylinder & piston gone into this one. The photos tell the story, nothing more to spend, get it dirty (that's what it's made for) or whack it in the man cave. $6,750.
Good solid 1980 YZ250G, pretty original, all OEM plastic other than the front plate, OEM seat cover, PFR pipe/silencer. Runs & rides good (she rips). Add your numbers, set your levers, check the tyres, go racing. $6,750.

Give your 1978/1979 Honda CR250R the factory look (will also fit 1980 RA models & 450/480 with minor frame mods). I have one of these tanks almost finished, probably the last one we'll do (lots of work). It's currently in primer, ready for topcoat, so there's a small window for anyone interested to customise it (color/decals/logos etc), otherwise it will as per the photo. Will be supplied with good used fuel cap, new fuel tap & mounting bushes. The price will be $1200 with "race paint" (most think it's show paint), or $1500 with "show paint", you get to choose at this point. Give me a call if you're interested or wait till it's listed for sale (will have "show paint" if it gets listed for sale).

It's been a tricky year for me battling an annoying illness (nothing sinister) which has resulted in considerable down time, doh! As such, I am taking a bit of an extended break over the Christmas period & will be "off air" from Saturday 20th December until Monday 12th January. There may be a post or two for anything interesting that pops up during that time though. Merry Christmas & happy new year to you & yours.
