The Bellerive Yacht Club is situated at 64 Cambridge Road, Bellerive, overlooking Kangaroo Bay and Kunanyi/Mt Wellington beyond. Established in 1926 to promote and encourage yachting, BYC is continually upgrading its facilities and offers a modern marina. BYC is a family friendly club and partners and children are encouraged to participate in club events and activities. The Club runs Twilight sail

ing on Wednesday evenings during the summer and weekend racing throughout the year as well regular training with accredited facilitators all year round. With two restaurants and a bar on site along with live music and events hosted regularly there is something for everyone at the BYC!

⛵🌅 DARK BLUE BYC – SAILING DIVISION 🌅⛵

Take to the water and be part of a unique twilight race on the Derwent as part of Dark Blue BYC on Saturday 11 July.

Race into the sunset and return under the lights as the river transforms from day to night.

⛵ First Warning Signal – 5:05pm
⛵ Target Race Time – 60 to 90 minutes
⛵ Return to the Club before 7:00pm
⛵ Entries close at 12 noon on Saturday 11 July
Entry Fee $10 per boat

💡 Boats are encouraged to light up and decorate, with prizes for the Best Dressed Boat.

And when the racing is done, the evening is just getting started…

Not keen on racing? Then grab your crew and join us for a fun and relaxed Poker Run around the Derwent as part of Dark Blue BYC on Saturday 11 July.

🃏 Collect a playing card at each location around the course.
🃏 Build your best poker hand as you make your way around the river.
🃏 The final card will be dealt back at the Club.
🏆 Prizes for the winning hand and Best Dressed Boat.

💲 Entry Fee: $10 per boat
📍 Enter online via the BYC Noticeboard or links below
🕓 Instructions issued between 4:00pm and 4:30pm in the Marina Bar
🚤 Cruise to a number of locations around the Derwent
⏰ Expected return to the Club around 6:30pm

With nominations now closed, all vacant Board positions and the position of Vice Commodore have been filled unopposed. As a result, no election or member voting will be required this year.

We thank those members who have nominated and are willing to contribute their time and expertise to the governance of the Club.

Members are reminded that the Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 24 June at 7:00pm in the Anchor's Room. We encourage all members to attend as we reflect on the past year, receive reports on the Club's activities and financial performance, and look ahead to the opportunities and initiatives planned for the coming year.

A reminder that the BYC will be operating slightly different hours on Monday for the King's Birthday Public Holiday.

🍽️ Anchors Bar – Open from 5:30pm to 8:00pm
