What a beautiful sunny autumn day here at the Hume Boat Club ☀️🍂 🍁

So great to see our local kids out and about enjoying the fresh air, big smiles, and the stunning lakeside views.
They captured some fantastic photos and videos today making the most of the sunshine and the water. What a great view of the Bridge 🚤📸🎥

Days like these remind us how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful part of the world. ☀️🌊

Today we reflect on what it means to live on this beautiful land — celebrating our diversity, our resilience, and the stories that shape us. Acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land and paying respect to Elders past and present.

A day to listen, learn, reflect, and celebrate the many cultures and histories that make up this country. Let’s keep striving for understanding, respect, and unity.

This Australia Day, many of us will be out enjoying the water — whether you’re boating, riding a jet ski, swimming, or paddling. Let’s all look out for one another and keep safety front of mind.

🚤 Boaters & Jet Ski Riders

Keep a proper lookout at all times
Slow down near swimmers and shorelines
Stick to speed limits and safe distances
Never operate under the influence

🏊 Swimmers & Paddlers

Swim in designated areas where possible
Wear bright colours so you’re easily visible
Be aware of nearby vessels and changing conditions

🤝 Everyone

Share the water respectfully
Communicate clearly and avoid risky behaviour

If you see something unsafe, speak up

A safe day on the water means everyone gets home to celebrate. Let’s work together to make this Australia Day enjoyable — and incident-free — for all. 🌊☀️
