Can I be honest? 🀭 I've noticed something over the years...

The people who struggle most aren't usually the least motivated.

They're often the smartest and most independent.

They're the ones who have spent years trying to figure everything out themselves.

They book the appointments and ask great questions.

They understand the plan....

But then, they go home and decide to do it their own way.

A little less of this and a little more of that.

Skip a few exercises or skip a lot of the important stuff.

Then wonder why... nothing changes.

Here's the hard truth.

You can't get a different result from the same patterns that got you here.

If you're always the one taking control, fixing, tweaking and second guessing, that pattern follows you into your recovery and training too.

For a few weeks, what would happen if you stopped trying to be your own coach?

What would happen if you trusted the process enough to actually do the work as prescribed?

Not forever.

Just long enough to find out what's possible.

The people who change the fastest aren't always the most talented.

They're often the ones willing to get out of their own way πŸ”₯

Whoever or whatever has made you feel this way is wrong. I see women everyday who felt this way and once they get started they realize how fkng strong and capable they are. This is for all the women out there who need this reminder. Go for your goals, your dreams. You have so much more strength in you than you realise πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯

Was thinking about this yesterday...

Sometimes we make change feel so much bigger than it needs to be.

We tell ourselves we need more time, more motivation, a better plan, or that we'll start when life settles down.

But often the change we're looking for starts with one decision.

One decision to show up.

One decision to do things differently.

One decision to stop accepting where we're at if it's no longer serving us.

When I look back at some of the biggest changes in my own life, they didn't happen because I suddenly became more confident, disciplined, or motivated.

They happened because I made a decision.

The confidence came later.

I'd love to know...

πŸ˜… You're absolutely allowed to laugh or maybe even say ouch, if you can feel the pain too haha!

These photos date back a while haha and they're a pretty good reminder of why I'm so passionate about helping my clients understand their bodies today.

Back then I had a lot of effort but little awareness.

There was a lot I knew, but also a lot I didnt.

I didn't realise how much wasted effort I was using in a variety of exercises.

I didn't have the awareness to understand what my body was doing like I do now.

The positive thing is that our body is always trying to solve a problem and help us push through.

It will find a way to complete the task, even if that strategy isn't the most efficient one. Gotta love it for trying right πŸ˜†

And that's exactly what mine was doing.

Over the years I learned how to build strength, body awareness, coordination and better movement strategies.

Not because I wanted perfect form.

But because I wanted a body that felt strong, confident, capable and pain free.

Something deep inside me knew something wasn't right.

Hmm, could have been the pain? Haha but when you're stuck in the trenches, you don't see it right away.

But thankfully we grow 🌱

We all start somewhere.

And you will improve.

And that's exactly what I learned.
