You're absolutely allowed to laugh or maybe even say ouch, if you can feel the pain too haha!
These photos date back a while haha and they're a pretty good reminder of why I'm so passionate about helping my clients understand their bodies today.
Back then I had a lot of effort but little awareness.
There was a lot I knew, but also a lot I didnt.
I didn't realise how much wasted effort I was using in a variety of exercises.
I didn't have the awareness to understand what my body was doing like I do now.
The positive thing is that our body is always trying to solve a problem and help us push through.
It will find a way to complete the task, even if that strategy isn't the most efficient one. Gotta love it for trying right π
And that's exactly what mine was doing.
Over the years I learned how to build strength, body awareness, coordination and better movement strategies.
Not because I wanted perfect form.
But because I wanted a body that felt strong, confident, capable and pain free.
Something deep inside me knew something wasn't right.
Hmm, could have been the pain? Haha but when you're stuck in the trenches, you don't see it right away.
But thankfully we grow π±
