DAY 2 of the Bega Open today with 72 players taking the field on a sensational day in a single stroke event.

Lachie DOUCH was the 2026 Bega Open winner, a fine reward to a hard working young man who has really committed to his golf and his club.

The Junior winner was Sonny Abraham after a playoff with another excellent young golfer in Toby Peterson. Our club has a bright future with all of these young men playing as well as they are.

Not to be outdone, Nigel GOTTAAS, the smiling assassin, took out not only the October monthly medal, but was the overall nett winner as well.

Congratulations to all our winners in all our grades, and to all our members and visitors who came along and had a go!

Special thanks to Aimee Abraham for taking the photos!!

GREAT first day of the Bega Open with almost 60 players competing in a 4BBB event. Course was awesome, weather was warm and sunny, and the competition was fierce. Looking forward to tomorrow. Photo of Barry Grant putting for the 20metre competition without success, and of Robbo doing the presentation for the golfers who remained. And before anyone starts clamouring for their $50 sweepstake prize, we kept drawing until a golfer who was present and the presentation won it. Congratulations to everyone for playing today.
