It is my HONOR to report that day 2 of the bega v bermagui challenge was completed today at bega. Bermagui, after a hard fought battle, was 30 shots in front when they ventured south today....and despite a spirited defence, BERMAGUI REMAINED in front to WIN by 1 shot. Was a great couple of days played in great spirit, illustrating exactly what golf should be about. Well done to everyone who had a crack. Bermi takes homes the trophy, but we will be back....

The 8th has now had its first cut. Its looking awesome. While the temporary green has caused many laughs, and much angst, we are all looking forward to this ripper coming into play! Well done Pugs and team.

Bega singles matchplay champion for 2026 is Stuart Cook with a great victory over a not disgraced John Harney. Well done to everyone who had a crack. ( no, thats not Cookie celebrating with all his mates ..just a midweek match ).

8th green and a bunker im sure we are all going to enjoy....watching our mates try to get out of. Its getting there fellas. Well done greenstaff! A lot of work but its getting there.

The Bega Country Club greenkeepers, steered by Mark Puglisi, have been putting in some big days creating the new 8th green from the bones of the old. Its coming along very nicely.

After a wonderful day yesterday and last night's well-deserved celebrations, there was still a great turnout for today's Par competition.

Congratulations to our winners:
🌟 Robyn Kilkelly – Winner of the day with -3 on a countback from Annette Britten.
🌟 Annette Britten – Runner-up on countback, also taking home a ball.
🌟 Debbie Roberts – Continuing her great form from yesterday with -5 on a countback to win a ball.
🎯 Sue Behl – Winner of the 2nd Shot Nearest the Pin.

But the celebrations don't stop there!

Representing Southern Zone at Tura Beach against Northern Zone (Narooma), the team went through the carnival undefeated and brought home the title for Southern Zone.

This is the first Southern Zone victory since 2018, making the achievement even more special!

We are incredibly proud of the way these ladies represented their club and zone, showing great skill, sportsmanship and determination throughout the event.
