Hi Everyone,

As you all know race walking has lost an event at the next Olympics and there has been a lot of speculation since 2018 over the future of the discipline at the Olympic Games. We need to show our strength and unity under such pressure and promote to the world our great discipline that also has many applications to health and wellness!

Congratulations to all our athletes on an amazing 2025 season!!!

This concludes our road club season for this year, we now go into Queensland Athletic Association track season with plenty of shield, and championship races up for offer. We hope to see as many of you representing QRWC.

Congratulations to our Club Champions for 2025 and well done to all those who turned out to compete at Beenleigh on Sunday.

Thank you to our race judges, time keepers and lapscorers and to Kai for his Cool demeaner on the bbq when under pressure from the hungry hordes.

Hugeeee congratulations to all our queensland junior race walkers who competed down in chilly Ballarat, Victoria this weekend at the Australian AthleticsJunior Race Walking Championships representing Queensland Athletic Association

Our athletes brought home 3 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze, with 8 new personal bests. Everyone did so so well, so proud of you all.

Congratulations to QLDer Sam Mcure who bow trains in SA for picking up bronze in the U20 men!

Also congratulations to our walkers Leo (21st U14 mixed 4x2km relay), Jessica (25th U12 3km + 21st U14 mixed 4x2km relay), Hayden (27th U12 3km), Noah (18th mixed U16 4x2km relay) and Koby (16th U18 mixed 4x2km relay) who backed up to run national cross country!r o

Next week we are at Kalinga Park in Clayfield for our last Handicap meet of the season before Junior Nationals and our Club Road Walks championships. The program is as followed….

Are you an U12- U20 athlete and interested in representing your state at the Australian Athletics Junior Race Walking Championships? Registration close tomorrow August 5th @ 5:00pm AET.

7.30am A Grade M 15km, A Grade W 10km, QRWC 15km Championship M/W*, B Grade 8km

8.00am E Grade 2km, F Grade 1km

8.15am C Grade 5km, D Grade 3km
*Women in the 15km Championships will have their split time recorded for the A Grade 10km event
