PUSHYS ROSEWHITE 12 HOUR CANCELLED FOR SATURDAY MAY 17, 2014

Dear Riders,

Regretfully I have had to cancel the Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour event for Saturday May 17, 2014 for personal reasons.

My life has taken a dramatic lifestyle change with the blessing of multiple births. As it has been a premature birth my partner and I have spent a total of 14 weeks away from home. The babies are finally home and doing well now but this has meant I have been unable to focus on the Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour event including getting the course prepared in time. I apologise for the inconvenience, especially after the event had already been postponed but I hope fellow riders understand my difficult situation.

I would particularly like to thank the sponsors of the Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour who have supported the event. This includes Pushys Bike Warehouse in Albury, Giant Bicycles, Ground Effect, Hammer Nutrition, Coates Hire and Deadly Treadlies. I'd also like to send a huge thanks to the private land owners at Rosewhite, Andrew and Annie Robertson who have supported mountain bikers at the site since 2003.

I am not going to announce a new date for the Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour or make any promises but I hope to be able to relaunch the event some day in the future. Happy trails and thanks for your support and understanding.

A quick question for anyone entering or planning on entering the Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour new date of Saturday May 17, 2014. As there's no daylight savings for the new date (sunset is around 5.30pm), would riders prefer to start the race earlier than the 9am start so there's less riding in the dark with lights ? What are people's thoughts ? Stick to 9am start and 9pm finish or an earlier start of 8.30am or 8am ? Keen to hear your thoughts. Cheers, Paul

Dear Riders,

As you may be aware, some new MTB events both locally and in the same State have been introduced within two weeks of the Rosewhite race this year. This includes two brand new 24 hour events and a Mountain Bike Festival. With a full MTB calendar this Spring, Gravity Sports have made the difficult decision to move the Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour event to a less congested date of Saturday 17 May, 2014.

This decision was not take lightly and it's impossible to not upset some people. I hope you understand that it is for the benefit of the ongoing viability of the event and ultimately the rider who enjoys racing at Rosewhite.

With this change, it has also allowed us to introduce a 6 Hour option with various categories to the event. We will also be providing a free T-shirt to ALL online riders who register by 31 December 2013.

Riders who have already entered the Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour are entitled to a full refund if they are unable to attend the new date of saturday 17 May, 2014. An email will be sent to you by entryzone.com.au. Please reply to this email with any refunds requests.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused and we look forward to seeing you at the event in May next year.

Keen to get some feedback from keen mountain bikers on our Gravity Sports FB page here. Who is planning on racing in this year's Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour event on Saturday November 2, 2013 ? There are lots of other races and MTB events on the calendar including some new additions like the Bright 24hour and Wombat 24hour in Spring. Will you be going to one of these other events instead of the Pushys Rosewhite 12 Hour ? Any other feedback (ie- price, value for money, etc.) is invaluable to help us to provide a fun event for all ! Thanks. Cheers, Paul
