We had a brilliant Wine Tour in The King Valley yesterday with 4 lovely ladies from Melbourne.

We were lucky enough to do our first tasting at King River Wine Estates. The 2024 Flying Duck Shiraz has taken out all the top awards including Top Gold Award for Shiraz - 96 points, Best Wine of Show, Best Red Table Wine and Best King Valley Wine at the 2025 North East Victorian Wine Challenge, and the 2026 Premier's Choice Award, recognised among hundreds of entries from Victoria's premier wine regions, a testament to its exceptional quality and expression of King Valley terroir. It was so exquisite, we bought a case lol!

Next was Chrismont and as usual, the lunch was no less than spectacular! A must see when visiting King Valley. The group enjoyed a wine tasting to start, complemented by “the best luncheon they’ve ever had”. The staff are wonderful and full credit goes to Arnie & Jo who are the “hosts with the most”!

Last but not least, we headed to Darling Estate and what a way to end the day. Perfect outlook finished by sensational wines.

The group purchased so much wine on the tour that we only just got it all into our very large boot!

We had such a great Wine Tour on Saturday. The group were all paediatric nurses from Wagga Wagga and needed a very well deserved break in Beautiful Beechworth.
This weekend we are fully booked with some returning clients. We're doing a varied tour this time, some coffee and food tastings at Beechworth Coffee Roasters in Mayday, Jim Jam in Stanley, a visit to a renowned, privately owned art gallery followed by lunch at The Stanley Pub (why wouldn't you!!), then a tasting a Barking Owl Distilling Co.
It's such a fun day and Russell and I totally enjoy meeting new and interesting people.

We hosted another fabulous Beechworth Wine Tour on Saturday. The group of 8 ladies enjoyed wine tastings at Weathercraft Wines, Brown Brothers Winery and Baarmutha Wines with the most fabulous lunch at Brown Brothers! It truly was magnicifent! If you haven’t tried the restaurant at Browns, you’re missing out! They also enjoyed a tasting at Milawa Cheese Company which was a highlight!

After a brief break back at their accommodation, they headed back into town for dinner at The Vino Bar and shared Tapas plates and the best local wine selection around. Suffice to say, the ladies had a great trip!
