With footy now taking centre stage for Alex on Sundays, it was great to make the trip to Wagin for the 𝟏𝟎𝟎 and 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 on Friday and Saturday.

We ran our 125 Light and, thanks to James Inglis, Alex also got the opportunity to have a run in a KT Twin. He adapted quickly to the different kart and setup, bringing the twin home in 4th place in the final, the first KT Twin across the line.

Alex was also consistent in the 125 Light class, securing 2nd overall for the weekend.

After a break, the 2026 dirt karting season has started up with a couple of successful club days at Dirt Trackers Kart Club, Alex has topped the points in 125 light at those opening two rounds.

We’ve continued with R&D on the KT, and while Alex isn’t completely dialled in with the 125, his pace has been impressive.

Busy times ahead. We cannot wait! 😁

Double Win to End the Season

Alex gets the win in both 𝐊𝐓 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 and 𝟏𝟐𝟓 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, at 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 on Sunday. It's the first time either of the boys have taken a win in multiple classes on 1 day.

It was a good day to end what has been a unprecedented season weather wise. Thanks to DTKC for holding the rainout meetings.

Time to take a break from karting and turn our focus to crewing for Mikey Green Racing. The next few months will be awesome.

☆ 4 in a row! ☆

Yesterday Alex took the top spot for the fourth year in a row at the Quality Bobcat Services Junior/KT Young Guns meeting. Over the four years he took out two Junior 20-lappers and two KT Young Guns 15-lappers - a great way to finish his last year qualifying for this event.

Despite not taking a win in the heats, he was a strong 2nd in two and 4th in the other, putting him out of P3 for the 15 lap final.

From the drop of the green in the final Alex pressured the front kart, just biding his time to take the lead on lap 12 and finish the race with a comfortable gap from 2nd.

Huge thanks to DTKC and GSKC for teaming up to run the event, and to all the sponsors for getting on board.

We've always loved a good 20-lapper race at Crofts Racing, with Ryan also taking out 1st place in this event back in 2019 when it was then known as the Wagin 1000.

2025 WA State Title - Busselton DKC

Firstly, we couldn’t be more proud of Alex. After only six meetings in a 125, he’s now WA3 — an incredible achievement.

Starting on the front row with equal-highest points was awesome, but unfortunately that’s where the good times ended. Alex was handed a very unwarranted ROF for jumping the start. 🤔 That one call not only affected him, it took away the opportunity for what was shaping up to be the final of the weekend.

Refusing to give up, he fought his way back from the rear up to 4th before making contact with the windrow and half spinning, eventually finishing 12th, but it was enough to secure 3rd overall.

The KT was quick and Alex had two strong P1's a P7 and unfortunately a DNF after contact from another kart.
Starting from P9 in the final was challenging. No plate this time, but the pace was there and Alex's determination was on point as always.

Thankyou to our supporters and Ryan for coming down to support Alex over the weekend. Good to see Jaxon at the track also.

With an unexpected number of rainouts and footy taking centre stage for Alex, getting enough signatures to run the 125 in the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐖𝐀 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞 was looking slim.

However, thanks to 𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 thinking ahead and swapping their club day, and a sunny day at 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 last Sunday Alex is signed off and good to go.

Just a bit of fine tuning still to happen with both the KT and the 125, but overall happy with the results in both classes.

Another meeting ticked off for Alex in the 125 at Jenna Dirt Kart Club last Saturday.

He was able to get plenty of laps in and give some feedback to improve the kart for the next meeting.

As many of you may've known we had a discrepancy with our fuel reading at the SA title in early May.
We appealed immediately so Alex could continue racing.
This afternoon we received the outcome which was 100% in our favour. Our fuel came back within the acceptable limits. Thankyou to everyone for your support while this has been going through.

We headed to Wagin last Saturday for the inaugural Double Muster event.
Alex had great pace with the KT Light kart, taking the win in all four races to top the podium for the night from the 14 entrants.
He also had his first run in the 125 light class. Adapting quickly, it was awesome to see him mixing it up in the field and definitely showing that he wasn't shy of a little extra power, working his way up to around 5th place from starting P15 each of the four races. Finishing the night 6th on points.
