With very little track time this season, and a Saturday free, the boys took off to Great Southern Kart Club for the Outlaw Hustle Trophy Day meeting.

It was a good day, with no stress for top results, just some laps and seat time.

As a team we decided for the first time in 11 years not to contest the WA title. Instead, focusing on other interests and continuing with building up the wingless sprint ahead of the 26/27 speedway season

JKC Junior Kart Championship

2026 Quality Bobcat Services Junior 40 Lapper + KT Young Guns 15 Lapper

That makes five in a row! 🖐

With the change to the JKC KT Young Guns age classification, Alex had the opportunity to have another crack at it this year.

He ran his old junior kart, with some front end modifications, and it did not disappoint. There were a couple of issues in the 1st heat, but once that was sorted he never looked back. Finishing the night with 3 heat wins and a convincing win ahead of the field in the final.

Yesterday we headed to Bunbury Speedway for Alex to run in the Sprintcar Winter Development Series.

Thanks to Josh Agrizzi from Sprintcar Engineering for offering Alex his sprintcar for the series. To say he was pumped would be a massive understatement.

We learnt a lot, and Alex took to the car effortlessly. Each race he improved and got more comfortable in the seat.

The aim was to complete as many laps as possible and bring the car home in one piece — and he did exactly that. Finishing 3rd in the feature race and setting the fastest lap of the final was a fantastic way to end the day.

A big thankyou to Josh, Ryan and Lukey.

Thanks to Peter Harvey for organising the Winter Series, its a great experience for new drivers to the class.

Looking forward to the next round at Ellenbrook Speedway on June 28.

With footy now taking centre stage for Alex on Sundays, it was great to make the trip to Wagin for the 𝟏𝟎𝟎 and 𝟐𝟎𝟎 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 on Friday and Saturday.

We ran our 125 Light and, thanks to James Inglis, Alex also got the opportunity to have a run in a KT Twin. He adapted quickly to the different kart and setup, bringing the twin home in 4th place in the final, the first KT Twin across the line.

Alex was also consistent in the 125 Light class, securing 2nd overall for the weekend.

After a break, the 2026 dirt karting season has started up with a couple of successful club days at Dirt Trackers Kart Club, Alex has topped the points in 125 light at those opening two rounds.

We’ve continued with R&D on the KT, and while Alex isn’t completely dialled in with the 125, his pace has been impressive.

Busy times ahead. We cannot wait! 😁
