Southern Districts Rifle Club Armadale, Perth We are a SSAA affiliated club. Our main competitions are Field Rifle and 3 Positional rimfire and centrefire rifle. We also run Single Action and pistol.

Disabled parking, restrooms and access to clubhouse and our 200 metre firing line.

WE ARE BACK

Saturday saw the Hon. Reece Whitby MLA, Minister of Police cut the ribbon for the reopening of the Southern Districts Rifle Club under the new requirements of the fi****ms Act, fi****ms Regulations and Range licensing regulations with competition commencing Sunday the 2nd of June.

This was the culmination of 9 months of extensive work by our dedicated members.

Our latest group of member candidates going through our rifle practical training session. This group was a family affair, mothers and sons looking to join with their husbands and fathers in the sport of competition shooting.
The Southern Districts Rifle Club caters for individuals and family groups regardless of experience and offers training in rifle and handgun disciplines with the view of membership.

From Saturday the 6th of February we will be resuming competition.

Covid-19 rules that were in place prior to the current lockdown still apply with the addition that face masks must be worn while attending our facilities

It is the responsibility of all those attending to supply their own masks.

Failure to wear a mask you will be directed to leave the premises

As directed by the Western Australian government and health authorities all club activities are cancelled until Friday the 5th of February.
An update on the weekend of the 6th of February activities will be posted when known.

Welcome to the 2021 shooting season.

Firstly we would like to thank all those that have shown an interest in our club and their patience during the last 9 months.

We would like to announce that from Saturday the 9th of January, visitors with the view of membership will be welcomed to come and have a look at what we are about, numbers will be limited so bookings are essential so we can organise sufficient equipment and range staff.

The process will generally be for you to be invited to have a look on a match day then book a date for a trial shoot. If you wanted to take the next step we will then organise training for the discipline of your choice.

Southern Districts Rifle club has full disabled access to our clubhouse, restrooms and main range.

Please remember COVID-19 rules, hygiene and social distancing are a requirement for attending our facilities.

As most may know the implementation of Western Australian phase 5 restrictions , which includes the removal of social distancing has been pushed back to a tentative date of August the 1st.
To this point we must unfortunately also push back our plans for the return of visitors.

To ensure the safety of visitors and our members, supervising staff have to get up close and personal with inexperienced persons on the firing line and with the current 1.5 metre rule this is not possible until that rule is removed.

To all those who have made contact with our club please hang in there.

Visitor’s wishing to try out the sport of competitive target shoot with the view of membership is the future of the sport and our club.

Again, please be patient and we will advise as soon as we know the date we can accommodate visitors to the range.

As of tomorrow we are reopening our facilities to modified competition.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate non members at this stage.

Visitors and prospective members are very important to our club and our sport in general and we will be addressing this as soon as we can.

In light of the developing Covid-19 crisis and in the interest of public safety the Southern Districs Rifle Club will suspend all range activity until further notice. This is effective immediatly.
