Getting out amongst nature isn’t just business for us at Y Not Adventures — it’s what we love.

Our hike to the Lower Portals was rescheduled, so we headed to Witches Falls on Mount Tamborine for that nature fix. There’s nothing like the fresh air, the trees, and the surroundings to reset the mind, body, and spirit.

HIKE RESCHEDULE NOTICE

To ensure we can safely cross the creek and access the Portals, our Y-Not Adventures Lower Portals hike has been rescheduled to Sunday 28th June.

The good news? After all this rain, the Lower Portals will be absolutely stunning Expect flowing water, lush green surroundings, fresh mountain air and, of course… plenty of opportunities to get wet along the way.

If you love adventure, nature and a good laugh with an awesome crew, this is one you won’t want to miss!

After all this beautiful rain, there’s honestly no better time to explore the stunning Lower Portals!

The creek will be flowing, the rock pools will be alive, and the whole landscape will be looking lush, green and absolutely breathtaking

Caves Circuit at Binna Burra is officially back open — and we couldn’t wait to get back out there!

We squeezed through ancient rock tunnels, followed dramatic cliffside paths, climbed moss-covered stone staircases, and wandered deep through the lush subtropical rainforest of Lamington National Park.

The track feels fresh with narrow passages, huge rock overhangs, a massive hollow tree, and those breathtaking valley views with mist rolling through the mountains.

A big thank you to the parks team for all their hard work getting the track ready again.

Next we are heading back to one of our all-time favourites — The Lower Portals on Sunday 31 May! A beautiful 7km return hike with undulating terrain, and the stunning swimming hole on Mount Barney Creek. Perfect for a refreshing dip.
