Quick question. If someone collapsed in front of you right now, would you know what to do?

CPR is one of those skills you hope you never need, and are so glad to have when you do. It is simpler than most people think, and starting it early can double someone's chance of survival while help is on the way. You do not have to be a lifesaver to learn it.

A few hours learning CPR and basic first aid could be the most important few hours you ever spend. Find a course near you, and if you're keen, come and talk to us.

Today's the day. Our AGM is on this afternoon, 2pm at The Woolstore Brewery, Mount Gambier.

Sunday 30 August, 2pm, The Woolstore Brewery, Mount Gambier. Come along, have your say, and help shape the season ahead. Registrar, Club Captain and Youth Coordinator are open for nomination, and all financial members are welcome.

1. Rip currents are the number one hazard on Australian beaches.
2. If you're caught in a rip, you should swim straight back to shore.
3. Most people we rescue are actually confident swimmers.

Thinking about your next step at Beachport SLSC? The off-season is the time to take it. 👇

Our five trainers can qualify you right here, in-house, in a whole range of awards: First Aid, Radio Operator, Observers, SRC, Bronze Medallion, and ART (Advanced Resuscitation Techniques).

And it doesn't stop there. Through our members and our partnership with Surf Life Saving SA, we can also open doors to specialised pathways like IRB, JetSki (RWC), and Drones.

Up-skilling now means you're ready to assist with patrols and youth programs the moment the season kicks off. Whether you're a long-time member, a parent, or an older Nipper ready for more, there's a pathway with your name on it.
