As many of you know, Cedric is still in ICU since the 2022 floods.
I was very fortunate to be invited to coach on Junction Farm’s ‘RISBY’ in Tassie for the very first time. I can honestly say I didn’t realise how much I miss Cedric and all of my wonderful clients until this amazing weekend away. Every rider was open and receptive as well as gaining excellent insight.
Eleanor, of Junction Farm, and her beautiful family made me feel completely at home.
I cannot recommend going to see her and her amazing farm that offers so many services from riding lessons, rides/getaways and of course their simulator.
I am hoping to run these clinics down there with Eleanor on a fairly regular basis so, if you can - it’s well worth the trip!
Thank you Junction Farm - for making me feel like a VIP and to all who participated.

See you all soon I hope!! ❤️

Who needs some today?
Follow the link to our blog below to learn how Vranch House in Exeter is offering life changing Hippotherapy using one of our Interactive Simulators.
It is both heart-warming and humbling to read about the tenacious efforts of schools such as Vranch House, and their physiotherapists - as well as the hard work put in by the children themselves who find it challenging to do even the most basic of every day activities. We are so pleased to hear that the simulator has been so well received! Thank you for sharing your story.
We wish them all the best 🙌🏼

Looking to hear people’s opinion on -

I’ve been thinking about providing a horse baby sitting service. So not a long term/spelling situation, just for when people go on weekends away or holidays etc
Mine are fed and checked physically twice per day, rugged appropriately and poo picked up daily. So this would be a given if I was to babysit your horse….
So, it’s just a thought at this stage but I know it’s a nightmare to prepare for a holiday when you have only 1 horse to worry about, let alone multiple. So, as a thought, what requirements-other than handling experience and the obvious-would you require if this is something you’d consider doing for your babies while you’re away living your best life, potentially worry free?

Thanks

We regret to inform that Cedric has been severely damaged from SEQ flooding in February of this year 2022.
Steps have been put in place to close the company. I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every client/instructor/health consultant and more for allowing us to assist you as well as you teaching us with every single day in the 4 1/2 years we were in operation.
One of my biggest lessons is that we are all doing our best to learn the most appropriate way to do right by our horses. Be kind to yourself and others as the one thing we all have in common is that, even though we fall short in our own individual areas, we all love our animals and are trying as hard as we can. None of us are perfect…

I can tell you that we do hope to rebuild in the future but time and money is what it’s going to take.
Take care every one. Once again, thank you.

Lovely stories I’d love to bring to Aus. 🤞not too long 😊

Catriona is a para-rider and brain injury survivor. Together with her physio she has embarked on a Hippotherapy journey that has combined sessions on a horse simulator alongside regular riding, physio and pilates.
After just a few 30 minute sessions with Jo, Catriona saw massive improvements and within the year the difference in her postural control was “huuuuge” 😃
We love these amazing stories of progress, dedication and teamwork. Check out Catriona’s page to find out more and her journey and her sessions with Jo.

Cedric update….
So our fella is very unwell. He was switched on for the first time since February and we are now facing the issues from the flood.
There’s a lack of communication from the drives to the horse and the movement (when we did get some) was rusty.
It’s going to take a lot of time and $$$ to get this man back on track.
All patience is greatly appreciated.it doesn’t seem to matter how you prepare yourself for the worst, when it happens - you’re still gutted and disheartened. However, he will be back I just cannot confirm when. We have a long road ahead.
Hope everyone stays safe and well 😊

Hi everyone
Hope this finds you well.
Thought I’d give some Cedric feedback as I’ve not been able to post anything for a very long while now.
Cedric has been put back together after some extensive surgery. We are awaiting the specialist to run diagnostics before we can actually turn him on to then see what we are dealing with. Unfortunately our specialist is very very unwell and has been hospitalized fir the past 2 weeks and counting. We are hoping and wishing him all the best in his recovery. Until this happens though, we are again at a standstill as we cannot risk power when we don’t know all is ready to receive.
Keeping fingers crossed that our lovely man recovers well and that Cedric becomes the new ‘terminator’ that simply won’t die!
I cannot tell you how I appreciate everyone’s well wishes and enthusiasm to return as soon as humanly possible. We know my horses can’t wait for me to get back on him too! 😂
Will keep you informed as much as I can
🤞🤞🤞

Perfect home found!

Ally’s Boy aka ‘Cooper’

Young single equine seeking forever lifetime human partner.
The chemistry needs to be right here, as I have kissing spine. Im rising 6 years old, so if someone out there only wants to do what I’m capable of, we could be soul mates. Because I’m so young, being left to retire in the paddock is the very last option I prefer. I’m an affectionate big boy that should have been born canine. I have not really lost my adorable innocent foal face and not sure if I will. I will leave my food to greet you in the paddock as you’re more important. I want to be loved and crave attention and really want to be important to someone willing to accept me warts and all! (I don’t have warts)

Cooper, is approximately 17hh OTTB bay gelding. He has done his preliminary training and some barrier trials but didn’t quite progress to racing due to the investigation that lead to his prognosis.
He was sent to me 2 months ago after an 8 month spell and in this time he has been a sheer joy. I’ve got him through the flood and spent the time Ive been able to (in this awful weather) and I’ve fallen for this young man. After almost 10months of resting, a few ground sessions and a couple of lunges with the saddle on (to make sure he wasn’t sore or reactive to the saddle) I was able to get on without the bat of an eyelid. I haven’t done a lot of ridden work with him for obvious reasons as this isn’t about that ‘education’ part. It was to sort out what he’s capable of coping with. It will be a slow burn with this boy. So has only done walk and a small amount of trot. He hasn’t presented any soreness since being here but we know it’s there, so can never take it for granted. If he fell in to the wrong hands, he has the look to be an amazing dressage/show/eventing horse but he’d have to be retired completely in less than a year. In the right hands, however, someone kind gentle and accepting where he’s at and where his limits are - you could be doing that for another 10years. Nothing can be guaranteed of course - but you can’t do that with ‘completely sound’ one either.
My job is to find the best suited home possible for him or he will end up retired in a paddock with some brood mares, which isn’t a bad outcome but this boy deserves a little bit more out of his life and could fulfill someone else’s.
If you’re someone that thinks in a couple of years time you want to compete him, or want to drug him up and soldier on, or someone for the meat works for quick cash….PLEASE DONT CONTACT ME. This boy isn’t for you.
If you’re someone experienced or confident intermediate that wants to hop on every now and then for a nice trail ride and not have the pressure to keep their horse too fit or educated and willing to accept that on the odd occasion he may not be able to do what you want and but also wants to lavish attention, spend time and generally love him, then I highly recommend coming to see this fellow as he could just be the one for you.
Much like any relationship, there’s someone out there for everyone, we just need to find the right puzzle thats missing the piece that this fellow’s fits.

Both myself and his current owner will be wanting to keep in contact with the new one and 100% guarantee that we would rather him come back here, than on sold without our knowledge.

Small price involved to ensure person is 100% committed to him and his needs, that will be kept aside as a bond, just in case it doesn’t work out and would need to come back.

I thought I’d post a Cedric update……
He is stripped of his dignity still atm. However - he will return! Cedric will be fixed more than likely before the shed is ready. Timeframe is still unknown at this stage because of insurance to fix the mould in the walls. I will let everyone know as soon as possible when we have an estimated date to fire the big boy back up!! 😁
