Tradition of our carpet bowlers to celebrate birthdays at the end of the day continues. Latest was our long-time carpet bowls organiser, Frank Zimmerman, who celebrated his 80th. Congratulations, Frank, and a job well done over many years.

Coming to a letterbox near you! An announcement that Friday Fun is back at the club, every week from 4pm to 7.30pm, including FREE Barefoot Bowls. Everybody welcome, so just drop in and check us out. The more the merrier, so please spread the word along.

Happy to share with you that Bayswater Bowls Club is offering free “Learn to Lawn Bowl” classes in conjunction with Knox U3A. Registration to participate must be made through that organisation which is currently advertising it to their members. Classes will be conducted by club coaches and experienced bowlers on Friday afternoons between 2.30 pm and 3.30 pm and will run for eight weeks commencing October 17.

Wrapped up another successful Grand Final Eve Tournament, with the winners being Paul Hogan, Ian Mosley and Craig Walker, runners-up Nick Dawe, Scott Brees, and Danny Simmons with both teams coming from Heathmont and being presented with their winnings by Michael Gurry, representing major sponsor Loci Real Estate, Bayswater. Thanks also to Australian Butchers who supplied the lunchtime BBQ.
Next main tournament will be on Melbourne Cup Eve, with a mixed fours format (at least one lady), plus fashions on the field and chicken and champagne. Meanwhile, we have three different monthly comps running this summer. Details can be found on our website www.bayswaterbowlsclub.com under the Events Section.

Last Thursday night was the last home game for our darters for this season, with the Muppets having a close loss and the Predators a win. The Muppets just missed out on a final berth,
While the Predators are finals bound, aiming to finish second or third, and there’s a chance that Bayswater Bowls Club, a favourite among the league’s venues, may host a final.

Yes, it's that time of year again, the pointy end of the football season and that means we're taking entries for our Grand Final Eve tournament with $2000 of prize money up for grabs (after you've enjoyed your breakfast!). Another great day coming up at Bayswater Bowls Club.
