Friday night at the Melbourne Pavilion, Fight Militia Academy stood proud.
After a 10-year break from competition, Kane made his return to the ring — this time as a professional boxer — against one very tough customer.
The first round was about settling back in, shaking off some ring rust, and finding his timing again. But once that old Khaos came back to centre ring, showed his grit, composure, and hunger to compete.
A strong comeback performance, a hard-earned win.
Erini gave us 8 strong rounds in a very technical fight for the WBC Australasian Silver Bantamweight Title.
Her opponent came prepared, showed toughness, and brought constant pressure throughout the fight. She was busy and threw a lot of shots, but Erini stayed composed, read the exchanges well, and defended smart — with many of those shots being picked up on the gloves and arms.
Erini may have thrown less, but her work was clean, sharp, and not wasted. She chose her moments, countered well, and landed the more accurate, better-timed punches when the openings were there.
At the end of the day, both fighters did their job in the ring, and the final decision was in the hands of the judges. The result was a draw, meaning the title remains vacant and will hopefully be fought for again in a rematch.
As a coach, I am extremely proud of both Kane and Erini — not only for their performances last night, but for their commitment, growth, discipline, and the way they continue to develop as fighters.
Nights like this show the work being done behind closed doors and the character of the people stepping into that ring.
A big thank you to our coaches Brandyn Corso and Dennis Curavic for their time, dedication, knowledge, and commitment to our fighters.
Also a big thank you to those who helped in the corner on the night — () and Emmanuel “Iron Mannos” Milios (). Having the right people around our fighters makes all the difference.
Thank you 👊🏾🥊
