As many of you already know, we recently lost our close friend, team mate and all-round champion bloke, Mat Caple, while playing footy for his beloved Central Crocs Football Club.

The sudden and tragic nature of Mat’s passing has left his teammates, friends, and everyone who was there struggling to come to terms with what happened. It was completely unexpected and has been a huge shock to us all.

Led by John Treasure, the Central Crocs Football Club has set up a GoFundMe page to honour Mat’s memory and help support Michelle, Emma, and Abby through this incredibly difficult time.

Anyone who knew Mat will remember him as a larger than life character with a big heart, the kind of person who would always put his hand up to help, no matter what was needed or when. His loss is being felt deeply by so many people.

That’s why we’re sharing this fundraiser. It’s hard not to think that it could have been any one of our husbands, dads, partners, brothers, workmates, or teammates. And if it were, we’d hope our community would rally around those left behind.

If you're able to, please consider making a contribution or sharing the fundraiser with others. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden on Mat’s family and is a meaningful way to honour the generous, caring person he was.
