Congratulations to our 4 students who competed in today's Kobe Osaka Championships in Keysborough.

Morrison Smith, Ryley Clerke, Hudson Rennie and Raiden Leung you were awesome today.

Competed with great enthusiasm and spirit. More importantly, you tried your best...

Morrison achieved a Bronze Medal in the 8-9 years (10th to 7th Kyu) Kumite event...4 rounds of great fighting. 🥉

Raiden won his 1st round in Kata, but missed out in his 2nd round, but again, a great effort. 👏

Hudson missed out in the first rounds for both Kata and Kumite, but won some crucial points in his kumite which will give him confidence going forward. 🙏

Finally, Ryley Clerke competed in his first ever VKL event in Kata and performed really well in the 10-11 years (6th to 4th Kyu) event. He missed out in advancing to the next round, but we were so impressed with him. Well done Ryley. 👌

Thank you to Blackburn Karate Club for providing coaches today and special mention to Nickie Guan for her fantastic coaching effort and support with Morrison...🙏
