Round 9 Recap 🖤❤️
Another big day at home saw us take on Somerville, with plenty of tough contests across both football and netball. We finished the day with 2/5 netball wins and 2/3 football wins.
🏐 Netball
Our U17s continued their outstanding season with another strong team performance, showing great composure and connection across the court.
D Grade produced one of the comebacks of the day, fighting back from 9 goals down to run away with a 6-goal victory.
C Grade and B Grade continue to battle through injuries, but the effort and determination shown by both sides was outstanding. They continue to connect well and play some great netball.
A Grade faced challenging conditions as the rain arrived, turning the court slippery and making for a tough contest. The girls battled hard but couldn’t quite come away with the result.
🏉 Football
The U19s bounced back strongly after a tough outing last week, returning to the winners’ list with a determined performance.
The Reserves took on Somerville in a premiership rematch and came out ready to compete. After a hard-fought battle, they secured an impressive win.
The Seniors found themselves in relentless rain for most of the match. It became a tough, ground-level contest and despite a huge effort, they fell just short in the end.
❄️ Big Freeze for MND
A highlight of the day was another hugely successful Big Freeze event. We had a fantastic turnout for our slide, with players, volunteers, sponsors and supporters all getting behind a great cause. Thank you to everyone who donated, participated and helped make the day such a success as we continue to support Riley Clifford and raise awareness for MND.
A huge thank you to all our supporters who braved the weather and continued to cheer on our teams from the sidelines. Your support never goes unnoticed. ❤️🖤
