Good afternoon everyone. The final night of training for Baulkham Hills will be this coming Monday night, 2 December. As I have tried to inform everyone, I will no longer be able to continue to run the Baulkham Hills Dojo going forward. The final grading for the Hills BKK will be held at Kenthurst Dojo on Monday, 9 December at 6.00pm. Sensei Leigh will be hosting the grading and this will be an opportunity for you all to familiarize yourself with the Dojo for 2020 and your continued training. Kenthurst Dojo is located on Lucas avenue behind John Benyon Rotary Park and adjacent to the Kenthurst Shops. It will commence at 6.00pm. I will send emails to those that are eligible to submit for grading.

Good afternoon all, with the end of the year fast approaching could those that were awarded the Best Exponent and Bushido perpetual awards return them to the dojo so that I can award them for 2019?

A big congratulations to Asha, Luke and Cadel on achieving their black belt this weekend. All 3 performed extremely well and were standouts over the day. Luke had the opportunity to train on Saturday. He and the students put in over 11 hours of training on the Saturday prior to the Sunday grading. I was extremely proud of how they threw themselves into the day and were first to put their hands up to in the self defence component. Their sparring rounds were exceptional and the work that they have put in over the years well and truly showed. They should be enormously proud of their achievement. Only 1% of all students who start martial arts stay and achieve their black belt.

A special thank you to Sensei Daniel Morris and Sensei Scott Young for their assistance over the weekend. Sensei Dan wore the 'bully suits' for about 2 hours and assisted in many of the students showing their skills, which he did both Saturday and Sunday. Sensei Dan then backed up for about 10 sparring rounds on Sunday again to assist students attempting their grades, truly black belt behaviour.

I know that you will all congratulate Sempai Asha, Sempai Luke and Sempai Cadel on their achievement.

Hey everyone, Memberships are due this month. I thought that this post by Bungendore Dojo has hit the mark perfectly.

Hope everyone is enjoying their break. Just wanted to send out a reminder for everyone to check with me where your annual membership is up to. As you could imagine the insurance costs of running a dojo are extremely high & as this payment is due at the end of the month. I would really appreciate if we could get everyone up to date as a financial member.
Compared to the majority of sports this is a very low annual outlay & is essential to us in covering these costs.

Hi everyone, just a quick reminder that training is as normal for the school holidays. With a grading coming up I would like to see everyone who isn't away on the mats to be at their best for the grading. Could everyone wishing to attend the grading please let me know this week so I can give Kaicho an idea of numbers. Have a great day.

Hello everyone one, there will be no training this Monday night, 29th as I am returning to a fire station and Sensei Scott Young is in Melbourne. It is also a pupil free day for most of the students, so we will return to training on Monday, 6 May. See you all then.
