2026/27 — HERE WE COME!
The start of a new season is here, and we are SO excited!

The first few weeks can feel a little longer as everyone settles in, learns the ropes and gets back into the swing of things. There will be a few bumps along the way, so please remember to be patient, kind and supportive.

Remember, we are all unpaid volunteers who do this because we love our sport, our community and, most importantly, our kids.

And just like you, we are athletes’ parents too! We understand the juggling, the busy weekends, the early mornings, the excitement and sometimes the challenges that come with being part of a sporting community.

So, above all… remember to have FUN!

NEED HELP?
Look out for a committee member or age manager in our fancy new MAROON shirts we’ll be more than happy to help!

REMINDER FOR THIS SATURDAY!
Please make sure your child has their rego number and age patch clearly visible on their uniform this Saturday.
You might wonder why these little patches are so important. They help us keep the morning running smoothly and get results recorded quickly and accurately.

When patches are clearly visible, our officials can quickly identify athletes and record their times and results without having to stop and manually search for names and numbers on the computer.
With lots of athletes competing, manually entering multiple names and numbers takes extra time. That can lead to longer events, delays and more waiting around for everyone.

This isn't about making things harder for kids or families.
It's about making things easier for our age managers, recorders and volunteers who are already working hard to keep the morning moving.

Chasing down names, double-checking numbers or trying to identify numbers that aren't clearly visible all adds unnecessary pressure. Having the patches visible removes that extra step, helping us achieve:

DON'T HAVE YOUR UNIFORM YET?
No problem! For this week, simply safety pin your rego number and age patch onto any shirt so they are clearly visible.
Pins will also be available at rego for anyone who needs them.

♻️ Recycling for Our Community 💛

Have you noticed the recycling tubs beside our bins on Saturdays?

Every week, one of our amazing HDLA families collects the empty cans and water bottles from our track, as well as other sporting grounds they visit. It’s a simple act that makes a real difference.

Where the proceeds go
Through the Return & Earn program, every container is redeemed and the funds are used to purchase food and essential items for Ronald McDonald House and the Anglicare Community Pantry, supporting local families doing it tough.

This August alone, $128.90 was turned into groceries and delivered to the Anglicare Community Pantry at Baulkham Hills Anglican Church. ❤️

How you can help

♻️ Place your empty cans and plastic water bottles in the recycling tubs.

🗑️ Put all other rubbish in the general bins.

Together, every bottle and can helps us give back to our community. Thank you for your support!

A huge thank you to Sophie from our HDLA Committee that runs this initiative and collects the cans and bottles each and every week.

LAST AND FINAL CALL - REGISTRATION PICK UPS - SATURDAY 12th SEPTEMBER

If you still have not picked up your child’s rego pack please do so this Saturday Morning 12th September. From 7:30am – 9:00am
Committee members will be set up at the end of the club house tower at the roller doors closest to the committee carpark.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO PARENTS AND CARERS!
Please understand that distributing the registration packs is a very time-consuming process for our committee.
If registration packs are not collected this weekend, it places a huge strain on our committee members, who are also Age Managers and volunteer their time to run your children’s age groups each Saturday.

We really need your cooperation in helping us get this process completed this weekend. Every effort to collect your registration pack this weekend.

If your Child's rego number and age patch is not attached to their uniform by Saturday 19th September the No Patch No Run rule will apply.
