💛 Vale Mandy Griffiths 💛

Bathurst Hockey Association extends its sincere condolences to Mandy's family, friends and the South Bathurst Hockey Club community.

Mandy's kindness, dedication and love for hockey touched many across our association, and her contribution to our community will be remembered by generations of players, volunteers and families. Smiling Warrior reached beyond our association to many others.

This weekend, we invite players from all clubs to wear a splash of yellow in Mandy's honour. Yellow ribbons and tape will be available at the fields (and dugouts) for anyone wishing to take part.

A celebration of Mandy's life will be held on Monday, 22 June.

🏑 We Hosted the PSSA! 🏑
Over the 18th-21st of May, Bathurst Hockey was proud to host the NSW PSSA Hockey Championships, welcoming teams, teachers, coaches, players, officials, and families from across the state.

Despite some wet and chilly conditions, our volunteers once again showed what makes Bathurst Hockey special. The positive feedback received throughout the week about our facilities, organisation, and welcoming community was something we should all be proud of.

A huge thank you to every volunteer, official, and supporter who helped make the event such a success. 💚 A special shout out must also go to our incredible canteen crew. From early starts to long days, they kept players, officials, volunteers, and supporters fuelled throughout the week. Your hard work behind the scenes never goes unnoticed and is such an important part of events like these. 👏☕

Bathurst Hockey continues to prove why we're one of the preferred regional venues in NSW.

The latest leader ladders for our senior competitions have dropped 👏
With strong competition already building across the grades, every point, every goal, and every weekend matters as teams continue to push forward through the season.

A huge shout out to all clubs, players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters helping make our competitions what they are 💪

Today we’re celebrating some of our Minkey Players of the Week from the past few rounds 👏
From great teamwork and encouragement to confidence, effort, and big smiles on the field and it’s been fantastic seeing our youngest players continue to grow each round.

A huge congratulations to all players recognised over the past few weeks 💚

We also have a massive day ahead across our Women’s competition today, with 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades all taking the field as preparations continue ahead of the upcoming Women’s Masters State Championships.

Best of luck to all players competing today and especially those balancing big weekends of hockey and representative commitments 💪

Another big weekend of hockey is here, and we’d like to wish all of our representative players, families, coaches, managers, umpirers and supporters the very best over the days ahead 👏

We’ll also see some of our women’s players backing up with double headers across Saturday and Sunday as preparations continue ahead of upcoming State Championships 💪

After a week of rain, fog, and chilly mornings around Bathurst… bring your layers and be ready for all conditions this weekend 🌧️🌫️❄️

No matter the weather, we’re looking forward to another strong weekend of competition, community, and hockey across the region.

How good is this 👏
This week, we have an incredible 23 Bathurst kids representing at the NSW PSSA Hockey Championships.

And what makes it even more special?
Many of these players were only recently coming through our Minkey programs 💚

It’s a fantastic reflection of the growth happening within Bathurst Hockey and a huge credit to the coaches, clubs, volunteers, and families helping develop and support the next generation of players.

From early morning trainings and weekends at the fields, to first touches in Minkey and now representing on the state stage and these moments matter.

🏑 Under 18’s kick us off from 8:15am
⭐ Followed by our Minkey Gala Day bringing plenty of energy, fun, and excitement to the fields

A huge thank you to Bathurst City and St Pats clubs for helping bring the day together, and we’re looking forward to seeing our youngest players out enjoying the game.

From juniors through to Minkey, it’s shaping up to be a strong day of hockey, community, and great competition down at the fields 💚

This weekend, Bathurst Hockey Complex is proud to host a huge afternoon of Premier League hockey on Turf 3, and we’d like to extend a warm welcome to all travelling players, families, officials, and supporters visiting Bathurst for the round 👏
