Build a sting and mobile body. Body strength and maintaining muscle mass is so important for our body health. These classes focus on whole body and core strength. Adult Beginner Ballet; you will learn to become focused, determined and committed to the art of ballet at your own pace, not allowing age or physical restriction to deter from achieving your desire, goal or dream. In ballet class you will learn posture and poise, grace, coordination, musicality, artistic expression, ballet technique and steps. ABOUT ME
My name is Ann Mader ...and I love what I do, that is, teach movement in the context of yoga, dance and fitness. For many years I have been involved in dance and yoga. I began my dancing life at age eleven when, after reading a book on the life of the famous classical ballerina Anna Pavlova, I was inspired to dance...and so my dance journey began. Although performing was fun it was my passion for teaching; to inspire others to experience the joy of movement that excited and motivated me. I have taught in private dance studios-including my own, teaching classical ballet, creative and contemporary dance to students of all ages. I have tutored in universities and schools teaching creative movement/dance to the first year and graduating student teachers, who in turn will incorporate creative movement /dance skills in their class curriculum. The fitness industry emerged out of the dance scene with many of the jazz dance exercises and simple dance steps being adopted in fitness industry. I have been involved in the fitness industry since the mid 1980's having been an aerobics instructor/ fitness leader and personal trainer in some of Sydney's leading gyms. BREATHE DMC classes are moulded on the elements of movement, how, where and when the body moves in space and time. Rainbow Kids Yoga incorporates creative movement within the yogic sphere. Adult Beginners Ballet Basics incorporates classical ballet technique and steps done to beautiful music suitable for all of you who love to experience the art of classical ballet. Being a women (and not 21) I have a sound knowledge of the passages that a person's body goes through. In the my teaching I concentrate on exercise and movements that are required for daily activities; joint mobility, overall physical strength, good heart and lung power (aerobic capacity) and appropriate flexibility. Adult Ballet, Yoga and Mat Pilates Sessions are prepared with you in mind, they are active, educational and fun! I look forward to seeing you! Accreditations:
