Recap 7-12th of April
Started by off with a National Wheelchair training camp held out at Blacktown Athletics Centre
Then moved on to Sydney Olympic Park for the Australian Athletics Nationals 2026
Where I competed in Men's 100m,400m,800m events
After a bit of a tough start to the year and a little battle to get to Nationals I was pretty happy with placing
5th 100m
4th 400m
5th 800m,
Had a Brekky catchup with my fav WA peeps
Finished off by a little night out a trip via Penrith to pick up our fav donuts .adonuts and then home.
Usually my next announcement would be that The Swiss trip is up next!
But this year I will be skipping the International trip and staying closer to home and wish the team all the best x
The remainder of the season and year I will be focussing on training, work and most importantly family.
I wanted to give a big thanks to my village who helped get me here being a rural/regional athlete with no track isn't easy and you need all the support you can get!
This includes not just physical support but financial as the opportunities in country areas are less than in our cities especially when you are in an individual sport and not a team.
The opportunities for sponsors are harder, travel costs are greater and balancing it all can be extremely difficult.
So I want to say thanks to the village that makes it posssible
