32,643 NSW residents: a powerful call for change!

From all of us at Animal Justice ACT: thank you to every NSW supporter who signed and shared this petition. You helped bring the call for humane brumby management to the NSW Parliament.

On 11 September, Rachel Merton MLC formally presented Carmen Jackson’s petition to the NSW Legislative Council, where it was received by the House. It calls on the Minns Government to immediately suspend aerial culling of brumbies in Kosciuszko National Park and establish humane, transparent, community-based alternatives.

Thank you to Carmen Jackson for her determination, to Rachel Merton MLC for sponsoring and presenting the petition, and to the thousands of people who helped get it there.

Credit and thanks to Aussie Daily for sharing this significant milestone and recognising the community behind it.

The petition’s presentation is a step forward. It does not mean aerial culling has stopped. We must keep calling for meaningful action, transparency and humane alternatives.

To our NSW supporters: your voices are now on the parliamentary record. Let’s keep the pressure on.
