Proud of our boxer Rogan for stepping outside his comfort zone today and attending the NSW School Age & Junior Development Camp 🥊

Such a great experience for him and another opportunity to learn, grow and develop as a boxer.

A big thank you to Boxing NSW for continuing to put these amazing development camps on, and to all the coaches who took time out of their day to help the next generation of boxers.

Hi everyone, just a quick heads up that there’ll be no coached boxing tonight.

The gym will still be open from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm for an Open Mat session, so if you want to come in and work on a few things, you’re more than welcome.

Just a couple of rules:
• No sparring.
• Please respect the gym and equipment.
• Be mindful of the coaches running PT sessions.

The 6:30 pm class with Georgia will still be running as usual.

Now that the dust has settled, we just wanted to say a huge congratulations to everyone who stepped through the ropes last Friday night.

Dark South Academy had 10 athletes competing. Some were having their first fight, some had been there before, and for others it had been many years since they last stepped into the ring.

There were wins, there were losses, but most importantly there were plenty of lessons. That’s what this sport is all about.

As young coaches who are still active athletes ourselves, it’s been pretty special watching this team grow.

Ameir and I have been incredibly lucky to have a coach and mentor like , who has helped shape us not only as athletes but also as coaches. He’s never once hesitated to answer a question, share his knowledge or help us whenever we’ve needed it. More importantly, he’s always backed us and believed in us, reminding us that we’re on the right path to developing into great coaches ourselves.

We’ve still got plenty to learn, but it’s a good feeling knowing we’re heading in the right direction.

A massive thank you to all of our athletes’ opponents, their coaches and teams for making the trip to Batemans Bay and sharing the ring with our crew. We really appreciate the effort and the opportunity for our athletes to showcase everything they’ve been working on.

To our team, we couldn’t be prouder. Every single one of you gave 100%, showed plenty of heart, and represented Dark South Academy with pride.

Now it’s back to work. We can’t wait to do it all again at the Illawarra Challenger alongside our Adapt family. 🥊❤️

Great session today with Izaya and the Boys Group from Bay High.

Today’s session focused on strength and conditioning, using movement and training as a way to build confidence, resilience and connection.

It was great to see Izaya show such strong leadership and support for the boys while they were in our space today. The way he encouraged and engaged with the group helped create a positive environment for everyone involved.
