At Core Gymnastics and Fitness we strive to make fitness flippin' fun! We are a recreational gymnastics and fitness centre offering both gymnastics and group and private fitness classes for ages ranging from 2yrs through to older adults, suitable for all experience levels and abilities. Teaching healthy exercise habits at a young age can increase the likelihood of continuing those habits into adulthood and beyond, helping to reduce the risk of obesity, heart disease, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, some cancers and a multitude of other conditions later in life. Gymnastics helps develop fundamental movement patterns, gross and fine motor skills, strength, balance, coordination, agility, speed and power, playing as a vital basis for most other sports. Gymnastics also teaches discipline, leadership, teamwork, and helps improve listening and problem solving skills, all essential for the classroom and daily life. Owner and founder, Larissa Sethi, is passionate about helping to improve quality of life through movement, and in providing education and habit building so everyone can move better for longer. As an ex-gymnast, previous gymnastics club manager and Head Coach in Batemans Bay and Canberra, and having studied a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Larissa provides a wealth of experience and knowledge in both gymnastics and exercise.
