Ishtar United FC - نادي عشتار الرياضي في غرب استراليا Iraqi Multicultural Sport Association Ishtar United Soccer Club represent a group of young Iraqi-Australians residing in Western Australia.

The club is a not-for-profit, community-based soccer club which played its inaugural Football West season in 2012. Our club is based at Rosher Oval, on Rosher Road, Lockridge. The club seeks to advance the sport of soccer and other social activities among the youths in the community, promotes the health and social benefits of team sports and encourages sporting participation in the wider community

. Our club is managed by a committee which comprises entirely of volunteers for club and community benefit. Our aim is to create a family orientated community and club that values friendships, community interaction and traditional Iraqi values; whilst embracing the values, traditions and friendships that Australia provides and offers. Objectives
* To encourage all players to play to the best of their abilities.
* To promote good sportsmanship and goodwill.
* To encourage pride in our Club and their own achievements as players.
* To provide education, information and technical support to all

We're thrilled to introduce you to Halima Mozafari, an exceptionally gifted artist who made a remarkable journey from Iran to Australia 18 months ago. 🇮🇷🇦🇺 She's currently enrolled in our EAL 1 course through the Adult Migrant English Program, and her recent act of kindness has touched our hearts.

Halima wanted to express her gratitude to her English as an Additional Language (EAL) lecturer, Antony Giles, who has been an incredibly supportive teacher. In a heartfelt gesture, she presented Antony with a stunning hand-drawn portrait of himself. 🖼️

Antony was left in awe by the incredible photo-realism of Halima's artwork, and this comes from a lecturer with 15 years of experience at TAFE! 🎓

But Halima's talents don't end with her studies. Alongside her English courses, she has been teaching art to year 11 and 12 students at a local high school in Joondalup, with the assistance of a translator. 🏫✨

Her aspiration? To become a full-time art teacher in the future. 🌟
