I started planning this year’s Battle of the Businesses back in December 2025, hoping that starting earlier would give me more time, but as the event gets bigger every year, so does the workload, and somehow I still ended up falling behind!
8 months of planning.
And a few more grey hairs added to the noggin.
At times I say to myself, why am I putting myself through this?
But it’s all worth it when you remember why we do it, to raise money for sick children through the i98FM Illawarra Convoy.
That’s it, that’s our goal.
A massive thank you to every fighter, coach, official, sponsor and every person who attended and supported the night.
But most importantly, thank you to my incredible team of volunteers.
This event simply could not happen without you. If even one of you didn’t turn up on the night, it wouldn’t have been the success it was.
You all give up your time, work behind the scenes and help turn an idea into something truly special.
I’m incredibly grateful for every single one of you.
