BIG SIGNING FOR BAROOGA! 🏏

The Barooga Cricket Club is proud to announce Riyaad Henry, who has officially signed on for the next 3 years! ✍️

Riyaad brings a huge amount of value both on and off the field. A dynamic cricketer with a strong all-round skill set, he adds quality, experience, and competitiveness to our playing group. Whether it’s his ability with the bat, sharp work in the field, or his cricket IQ, Riyaad is the type of player who lifts the standard of everyone around him.

As this season MVCA Guthrie Medalist, it’s not just his performances that make this signing exciting. Riyaad is known for his leadership, professionalism, and team-first attitude. He brings a positive presence to the club rooms, strong training standards, and a passion for helping teammates improve — exactly the culture we continue to build at Barooga.

🏆🏏 THANKYOU SPORTIES BAROOGA 🦅

We are thrilled to share the fantastic achievement of our two junior teams, who have both clinched the premiership this season! These young champions have demonstrated incredible skill, dedication and sportsmanship, and we couldn’t be prouder of their success.

A huge thank you goes out to our major sponsor, Barooga Sporties, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in making this possible. Some of the boys shared the celebrations with CEO, Tony Tranter over the weekend (pictured here).

Sporties Barooga ongoing commitment to our club and the wider sporting community has been a cornerstone of our growth and sustainability of many local sporting clubs for many decades.

Their generous backing not only keeps our cricket club thriving but also helps scaffold participation across all levels of sport. This season’s triumphs - two junior premierships and two senior teams reaching the finals - are a testament to the strong foundation built through their partnership.

We are truly grateful for the vital role Barooga Sporties, The Board and Tony play in helping us achieve these milestones and look forward to many more seasons of success together.

B GRADE GRAND FINALISTS 🦅🏏🤗
We want to extend our heartfelt congratulations to our B Grade side for an outstanding season and their incredible effort in making it all the way to the grand final. Although the match didn't end the way we had hoped, the team demonstrated tremendous determination and sportsmanship throughout their finals campaign.

Commiserations to our lads for missing out on the ultimate prize this time, but we are immensely proud of all they have achieved. At the same time, we warmly congratulate Berrigan on a galant and well-deserved victory. It was truly an epic battle and both teams showed why they deserve to be at the top.

Here’s to building on your outstanding season and coming back stronger next year! 💪
