It’s been a while since our Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) Squads have been in the spotlight. At Advance we believe staying in the sport for a short time or a long time can be so beneficial for young people as they develop.
For our gymnasts that can’t get enough of the sport we have a strong competitive level program, with so many great achievements this year and we are not done yet. We have a huge highlight to share today as our Level 5 National girls competed in State Clubs. Across all the clubs in the State participating today we took home a team first 4th place 🎉, with a 1st on bars 🥇, 2nd on floor 🥈 and 3rd on vault 🥉. Most importantly, improvement was shown for all our gymnasts on the floor today and we are beyond proud.
This weekend started early and it is far from over now as we have our junior Level 5 team competing tomorrow morning. Then back at home (or at least more local than Sydney) we have our level 1-4 and level 7 gymnasts competing at the PCYC Spring Cup! Wishing all our competitors the very best and we hope you enjoy every moment.

🤸 SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM — these spring holidays! 🤸

Two weeks of tumbling, flipping, vaulting and rolling at Advance Academy. Our holiday sessions are a hit with kids who need to burn some energy — and with parents who need a few hours back in their day.

WEEK 1
Monday — Tumbling and Acro
Wednesday — Parkour fun and obstacle course challenges
Friday — Tumbling and Acro

WEEK 2
Tuesday — Parkour fun and obstacle course challenges
Wednesday — Rhythmic Gymnastics Workshop (3:30pm – 5pm, $23)
Thursday — All things Gymnastics + Tumbling
Friday — Tumbling and Acro

⏰ Morning sessions run 9am – 12noon
💲 $35 per 3-hour program
👀 Parents/carers are welcome to stay and watch, or drop off and come back at pick-up
🎒 Just bring a drink bottle, a nutritious snack and comfy clothes to move in

No experience needed — all levels welcome, from first-timers to our regular squad kids.

Spots are limited and Tumbling and Acro always books out first, so get in early!

✨ New class alert! ✨

We’re excited to open a brand-new GymSkills timeslot on Saturdays at 9:30am🤸‍♀️
With our weekday classes filling quickly, this new timeslot gives more families the chance to join the fun! This class helps primary school-aged children build strength, flexibility, confidence and gymnastics skills across all apparatus. Starting Saturday 15th August.

Congratulations to the Australian Gymnastics teams.

Last night we saw the girls take GOLD for Australia!

In the Men's we also took bronze with the first Commonwealth Games medal in 16years!

This is such a huge feat, such a challenging and disciplined sport. So much hard work and dedication has been put in by the gymnasts of both teams and we wish them the best as they now compete as individuals on each apparatus.
They all started somewhere and have gone along way with their passion for the sport.

Tonight (all night) we have more gymnastics with the Men's and Women's all-around finals. Watch it all on 7plus.

🤸‍♀️ Term 3 Gymnastics is almost here! 🤸‍♂️

We hope everyone has been enjoying the winter school holidays! Our holiday workshops are almost finished, with our final Tumbling & Tricks class running tomorrow. It has been wonderful welcoming so many new and returning families into the gym these holidays.
Term 3 starts Monday 20 July, and we cannot wait for another term full of gymnastics, strength, flexibility, confidence, and friendships along the way!
