Bargara Learn to Swim School Bargara Learn to Swim School is a small private swim school operating on a seasonal basis from October to April and has been established since 1992.

Karen is a qualified AUSTSWIM accredited teacher. " I am passionate about the need for children to learn how to swim. After so many years of teaching swimming lessons to all ages, I still love the experience of developing children's confidence and personal achievements in the water. And most importantly, helping your children to learn how to be safer in and around water environments". Class sizes

are small and there is one class in the pool at a time - no distractions. Pool is partially covered by shade area which is a vital requirement for children in the summer heat. It is a salt water pool with a solar blanket which helps maintain the water at a warmer temperature. Children are placed in a class that best suits their needs and capabilities - toddler classes, independent classes and school age classes.

🏊‍♂️Tips to keep healthy when swimming in pools.🤽‍♀️

Swimming is a great way to keep cool on a hot day but there are a few things we need to be aware of to avoid germs contaminating pool water.

Here are some healthy swimming tips to keep our pools clean and safe for everyone to enjoy::

✅ Don’t swim if you have diarrhoea or have had it recently
âś… Avoid swallowing pool water.
âś… Shower before and after your swim.
âś…Wash your hands with soap after going to the toilet or changing nappies.

If you suspect you’ve contracted cryptosporidiosis—a germ that can cause stomach upset—contact your GP for advice.

I'VE JUST FINISHED ORGANIZING THIS SEASONS CLASSES. The spots available on Saturday mornings.
5-7 year old confident learning freestyle - swimming length of pool
7-8 yr old -learning freestyle

Thursday afternoons - 5-6 year old - confident

WE OFFER SMALL CLASS SIZES WITH ONE CLASS AT A TIME.

THERE ARE NO DISTRACTIONS FROM OTHER PROGRAMS BEING HELD THAT IS OFTEN FOUND IN A MAJOR COMPLEX.

PERSONAL ATTENTION AND FEEDBACK ON YOUR CHILDS SWIMMING PROGRESS.

Hi everyone. We are closed for the cooler months and re open towards the end of October. Classes are limited and I no longer do baby /toddler classes. There is already a booking list for next season but I welcome any enquiries and will consider what spots are available by about the end of September.

Thanks to those who have enquired about classes for the upcoming season. I have placed you on a waiting list and will get back to you once I have confirmed the classes with those who previously booked. That should be by early to mid October.

As we are only a small home based swim school with one teacher and one class at a time, there are limited spots available.

So I will not be taking any more new bookings until classes are sorted and I have an understanding of any spare spots available.
