🎀 PINK STUMPS DAY - CATERING EOI 🎀

Baranduda Rangers Cricket Club is seeking expressions of interest from local caterers for our upcoming Pink Stumps Day in support of the McGrath Foundation 🩷

This year, we’re planning a high tea style function for approximately 60 people and are looking for someone who can help us put together a great spread for the day

📅 Saturday 7th November
📍 Baranduda Recreation Reserve
👥 Approx. 60 guests
🧁 High tea style catering

If you’re a local caterer, café, bakery or business interested in being involved, we’d love to hear from you

🌭 BUNNINGS BBQ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🌭

A big thank you to everyone who has already put their name down to help with our Bunnings BBQ fundraiser on Sunday 13th September - we really appreciate the support! 💙🤍

Our 10am - 12pm shift is now filled, but we’re still looking for another 1-2 people for each of the remaining shifts:

• 8 - 10am
• 12 - 2pm
• 2 - 4pm

If you’re able to spare a couple of hours and help the club out, please comment below or get in touch with Pat Deegan to lock in a shift.

We’re calling on our players, families, supporters and the wider community to help us get the club ready for the season ahead!

📅 Sunday 30th August
⏰ 9:00am start

Whether you can lend a hand for an hour or stay for the morning, every bit of help makes a difference. Community members are more than welcome to come down and get around the club.
Once the work is done, we’ll have a BBQ lunch and drinks provided for everyone who helps out. 🌭🥤

Our annual golf day is back! Get around what promises to be an entertaining afternoon at Wodonga Golf Course.

📍 Wodonga Golf Course

The wait is almost over - the Rangers are back!

Our 2026/27 preseason officially gets underway this Wednesday, and we’re looking forward to getting everyone back together and putting in the work ahead of the new season.

📅 Tuesday 25 August | 7:00–9:00pm
📅 Tuesday 1 September | 7:00–9:00pm

📍 All sessions will be held at the Indoor Hub, Wodonga

New and returning players are welcome. Get around it, bring plenty of energy and let’s hit the ground running from session one.

🏠 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST 🏠

We are reaching out to the local community in search of expressions of interest in providing accommodation for an overseas cricketer who will play for our club in Baranduda.

This is our second year of hosting an overseas player which brings great excitement to the club and especially to our junior groups who benefit from the players involvement in their training.

The player is expected to arrive on mid to late September and will require accommodation for
the duration of their stay, approximately 6 months.

Ideally, the accommodation should be located
within reasonable proximity to the Baranduda Recreation Reserve and include basic amenities
such as a furnished room, kitchen access, laundry facilities, etc.

Details of the player will be provided to prospective accommodation providers. Please let us know if you have any interest in assisting us and we would love to have a chat further about this potential accommodation.

🏏 2026/27 First Grade Captain 🏏

The Baranduda Rangers Cricket Club is pleased to announce that Martyn Allwood has been appointed First Grade Captain for the 2026/27 season.

As preparations continue for the new season, we're excited for what lies ahead. With a strong playing group, a talented mix of experienced players and emerging juniors, and plenty of hard work to come, there's every reason to be excited for the summer ahead.

We are pleased to announce that Ivan Webb will continue as Second Grade Captain for the 2026/27 season.

Heading into his second season at the helm, Ivan brings valuable experience, strong leadership, and a genuine passion for helping players develop. His commitment to the club and willingness to lead by example make him the ideal person to continue guiding our Second Grade side.

A massive congratulations to Harry Bowles and Jaden Nichol on their selection in the Cricket Victoria Under 16 Boys Country Academy Squad – North East Knights! 🔵⚪

Being selected in this squad is a fantastic achievement and reflects the hard work, commitment and dedication both boys have shown to their cricket.
