Amity‘s Slogan - FIGHTING TO BUILD PEOPLE UP- isn’t just a slogan. Im sure we have all seen or experienced what it feels or looks like to be discouraged or put down. Sadly the culture we live in is not always an encouraging one that aims to build confidence in people but can be filled with people trying to build themselves up by putting others down. I have seen in my previous roles working with young people in schools or I’m sure we have all seen it even just by opening social media etc that sometimes we are our own worst enemies, and sometimes our own words internally are the ones that tear us down. Amity aims to be a place that tries to create a space and community the opposite of that. using self defence and martial arts as a vehicle to growing in confidence and strength within our selves and with others. As a community lets all aim to fight to build people up!

Amity admires old school values and respect.
competition, entertainment and the money know involved in martial arts sadly can sometimes move away from its roots on honour, respect and humility. While ensuring we are able to protect ourselves the goals of being better than we where yesterday and the self disciple developed through training and Making each other better as we train with others is what Amity really values in self defence and martial skill.

Also if you know the two respectful gentlemen in the top picture you know they are to of the greatest fighters in the history of MMA.

It is good to be strong , but it is even better to be able to use that strength for the benefit of others.
The stronger we get together the
More we can serve those around us.
We are more than a martial arts school, we are a family who
Supports each other !! That is what I am most proud of with our community
