Power Karate Victoria was originally started by the late Shihan Steve Newtown. There are two dojos in the Golden Plains region, Bannockburn and Lethbridge. Both dojos are operated now operated by Sensei Josh maloney, under the leadership of Kancho Jim Phillips. We teach our students traditional Kyokushin Karate in a fun, family friendly environment. Students are taught respect for themselves and o

thers, fitness, courage, discipline, self belief and a range of other qualities they can use in everyday life. Our Instructors:

Reminder – Shihan Steve Newtown Memorial Training

Just a reminder that tonight we come together to remember Steve Newtown, marking 10 years since his passing.

This will be a special memorial training session to honour the spirit, dedication, and impact Shihan Steve had on so many karateka over the years. His influence on Kyokushin in our region continues through the students he taught and inspired.

All past and present students from all affiliations are warmly invited to attend.

📍 Bannockburn Cultural Centre (behind the library)

🕕 6:00pm – 7:00pm training
🍽️ Small dinner provided afterwards

Please make an effort to attend in full gi as a mark of respect for Shihan Steve and the traditions he helped build.
