Good morning everyone!
Next pony club day is Sunday 15th March. After our ride we will be holding a general meeting at 12.30 pm at the clubhouse all members welcome. Michelle Whitehead club secretary will send an email out to all members with a proxy form in case you can’t make the meeting so you can nominate by email.
With Lesley Lee resigning as president and Sue Johnson resigning as treasurer we need to vote in a new president and treasurer. I’m happy to step up to president for the rest of the year if voted in, Donna Mckeon is happy to step back into the treasurers position. We will need a vice president this is not a hard role as we all help each other. Hope you can all make the 15th

Just a reminder I am making the booking tomorrow for those wanting to come along to dinner.
As most of you know Lesley is moving at the beginning of March, Lesley has been the president of Cambewarra pony club for the past 4/5 years where she has been an amazing part at getting Cambewarra pony club back up and running.
This Thursday 19th February we will be having a get together to farewell Lesley at North Nowra Tavern for dinner at 6pm, if you are a past/present member of Cambewarra pony club we would love for you to come along. Cambewarra Pony Club members wish to extend their gratitude to Kim and Denis Baker from Tabulan NSW, for their generous donation of a metal round yard to the pony club. Round yards are highly beneficial for horses due to their circular, cornerless design, which provides a secure, enclosed space for controlled training, thereby minimizing the risk of injury. They are particularly well-suited for groundwork, lunging, and breaking in, as they enable horses to move freely without becoming trapped in corners, fostering trust, communication, and a focus on the handler. This will be a great asset for the pony club riders for years to come.

With Lesley moving away and leaving us 🥲 there won’t be a yearly calendar put out, this is due to not having the above people available on specific dates all the time as we need an instructor, first aider, gear checker to run pony club. The above positions are voluntary so we can’t always be around to run pony club on set dates.

My proposal to members is that we run pony club on a Saturday or a Sunday at times when needed and run pony club on weekend’s suited to volunteers availability. Pony club will be held twice a month still just maybe the first and last weekend of the month I will try to give everyone 6 to 8 weeks notice in advance.
We will also open the grounds for play days to bring your horses along and ride through the week.

We would really like to keep Cambewarra pony going but it will take all Executives, Committee and members to work together, we have great grounds and a great bunch of people willing to help out, we have lots of ideas on getting voluntary instructors or holding mini clinics.
