North Balwyn Baseball Club For all past and present players as well as supporters of the North Balwyn Baseball Club since 1937.

The North Balwyn Stingers Baseball Club is a Baseball Club based in the Melbourne suburb of North Balwyn. The club's senior teams compete in the Melbourne Winter Baseball League and its Juniors compete in the Ringwood District Baseball League. History:

The North Balwyn Baseball Club was formed in 1937, and played in the Victorian Baseball Association competition. On July 9, 1967 the club opened t

he first all weather Baseball Diamond in Victoria. In 2004 the club was down to 2 teams with a total of 20 playing members. The Club set on a rebuilding phase and by 2009 the club was playing in the B grade section of the Melbourne Winter Baseball League, The Club had built up to 5 senior teams and 4 junior teams. In 2010 the club was promoted to the A grade section after the Knox Falcons requested to be relegated before the 2010 season{source}. In 2012 the club announced Phil Dale as the new club coach and A grade game day manager.

Tristan Hill - had a spectacular game as catcher with some fantastic stops and an incredible caught stealing throw to 3rd base. He also scored 1 run and got on base 3 out of 3 times. Let's go Tristan!
Freddy Glenister's focus and disciplined pitching helped the Stingers close their game to take away a narrow win over the Hornets.
Yugo Takei - Good pitching and on base twice
Keigo Takei - Clutch hitting with two outs, hitting a double scoring two runs. He also made two exceptional catches; each catch closing out an inning with runners in scoring positions.
Michael Newman - picked up two base hits and an Walk, along with 3 stolen bases.
Jonathan Ryan - had a clutch 2 RBI double (into the wind) along with a walk and 2 stolen bases.
Roni H - caught well for half game with a rough situation!
Will Tomietto - stepped up to pitch for the first time and battled through 2 tough innings, 3 strikeouts and no hits against him. Go Will!
Lucas Vasquez - Pitched two innings, had three hits and two RBIs

The roster is now open for our Box Hill Bunnings BBQ Fundraiser on Sunday 21 June.

Every team has been allocated a 90-minute shift across the day, and we’re asking families to jump in, wear your Stingers gear and help make the day a success.

This fundraiser helps support:
⚾ Junior equipment
⚾ Player development
⚾ Club activities
⚾ Keeping baseball accessible for families

As the 2026 Australian Little League Championships enters Day 5, we just want to highlight and wish our junior Stingers good luck for the rest of the tournament. The boys have been competing up in Blacktown with the Melbourne Athletics.

Representing the club are: Tom Wilkinson, Evan Doganay, Nate Singline, Lucas Yang and Yugo Takaei.
