Spit Swimming Club - Est. 1917 The Spit Swimming Club is a family friendly club that meets at beautiful Balmoral Baths each Saturday from October to May.

The spit swimming club is a family friendly club that meets at beautiful Balmoral Baths each Saturday from October to May. We encourage the whole family to join in. The races are handicapped to everyone a chance of winning of the day. Races are held for all ages and levels. So the kids and parents can all be involved. The standard order of events is:

1. 200/400m F/S or medley
2. 25m other strokes


3. 100m other strokes
4. 15m bubble race
5. 15m freestyle
6. 50m freestyle
7. 15m other strokes
8. 50m other strokes
9. 25m free style
10. 100 m freestyle

We also have special events during the year including:

Family Fun Day
Inter Club Championship
Sausage Sizzles
Curry Night

Did you happen to catch some fast swimming on Sunday?
The annual interclub competition between The Spit Swimming Club and Northbridge Swimming Club was hosted by Northbridge ASC at the baths. It might have been the home ground advantage but Northbridge walked away with a clean sweep.
A great competition with great friendship and fun was had. We are now practicing for 2026…..
