A fantastic for NSW clubs and our Interstate team!

After a super competitive 2026 NSW Masters, our clubs made the long journey to WA to aim for national glory at Champion Lakes. There were plenty of standout individual performances across four days of racing, with Daniela Borgert of Leichhardt Rowing Club taking home a 12-medal haul as NSW's top Athlete Point Score finisher. Our clubs performed strongly - Manning River Rowing Club and Leichhardt Rowing Club finished in the Point Score Top 10, with Mosman Rowing Club and St George Rowing Club doing the same on the medal table.

Our Interstate team donned the Waratah and delivered a strong suite of performances. Kevin Wall showed he's here to stay in the PR3 Men's Single, defending his title from 2025. A strong row from the Women's Quad saw them claim silver, while the Men's Quad and Stephanie Walker in the PR3 Women's Single both took bronzes. Both eights were competitive amid strong fields, just missing the podium in fourth.

Well done to all our Masters athletes and coaches, as well as off-water supporters, for a phenomenal year of racing. We can't wait to welcome you all back to NSW for the 2026-27 season 🤩

Perfect conditions and amazing racing at the 2026 NSW Masters Championships!

With over 600 athletes from across the country competing, this year's edition was once again the biggest since Covid, a wonderful testament to the strength of Masters rowing.

On the water, two of NSW's powerhouse Masters clubs topped the medal table after the two days of racing, Mosman with 17.25 golds edging North Shore with 11.5 golds. While Mosman and North Shore battled, it was Gregor O'Nians from Melbourne who topped the individual medal table with an incredible 10 medals - including 7 golds! 👏

All in all, 32 clubs took home a share of at least one gold medal, and we thank the interstate clubs who helped contribute to the high standard of competition.

Congratulations to all our Masters athletes, coaches and supporters on a fantastic season, and good luck to those whose next stop is 💪

Success at SIRC for our 2026 Junior Pathway Team 🩵🌟

The squad took on the other states at the Interstate Pathway Regatta earlier this week, coming together to deliver some standout results. The quads were a highlight, with the boys' crew winning a great race and the girls' first crew fighting for a well-deserved bronze. Later, the boys' eight faced down some tough competition to secure a bronze of their own.

This was our most diverse Junior Pathway Team ever, with over 30 clubs and schools represented. Congratulations to our amazing athletes, their clubs and schools, and their supporters - the future of NSW rowing looks brighter than ever 🩵

Next stop on the NSW rep calendar: OTRC in May 💪

This past Saturday, SIRC played host to a very special edition of the Edward Trickett NSW Grade Championships. 2026 marks 150 years since Trickett was crowned Australia's first sporting world champion in any sport, and this year's regatta honoured his legacy.

On the water, UNSW continued their dominance of this regatta with another point score victory, bringing home a haul of 15 medals. Community swept nearly every para race to win five golds, while Mosman, Leichhardt and UTS all turned in strong performances to round out the medal table top five. The race of the day might have been Heat 2 of the Men's C Single, which saw six competitors finish within three seconds of each other in the battle for a place in the final 👏

Thank you to our volunteers and officials for your invaluable contributions to the regatta, and a special thank you to the family of Ed Trickett for your attendance - it was an honour to host you.
