Well... what can be said that hasn't been said already. The flooding in the Northern Rivers has exceeded everyone's worst nightmare. Few of us have witnessed disaster on this scale before and our hearts go out to every single person who has been affected by this event.
While the tragedy is beyond comprehension, we have been overwhelmed by the support and effort of our students and wider community. A number of our students have been directly affected by the flood and we'll be sharing details on how to support them soon. In the mean time, Professor Thalison and our family at The Academy in Byron Bay have offered free training to Elevate students until our classes resume ❤
Elevate will be back on it's feet soon, as will our community. A special thanks to everyone who has braved these horrific conditions to help out where they can. Proud is an understatement. Stay safe, be kind and before long, we'll see you on the mats 💙💜🤍

And we're back! After a unfortunate but necessary break all Elevate classes will resume as normal starting today!
We must remain vigilant and continue to do our part to keep everyone safe on the mats. We use every opportunity to remind students that if you have any cold or flu symptoms you must stay home and get tested. For everyone else I look forward to seeing you on the mats!

It is with our deepest regrets that we must inform everyone that this weekend's seminar with Professor Thalison must be postponed. A number of the coaching staff and students have tested positive for Covid and as a precautionary measure we are cancelling all Jiu-Jitsu classes this week. We cannot sufficiently convey our disappointment at this turn of events but if Jiu-Jitsu has taught us anything, it's to find the best of a bad situation. Rest up everyone and we look forward to returning to our normal schedule next week. We ask that anyone who has trained at Elevate since Friday the 7th to please get tested for your own safety and wellbeing. Again our sincerest apologies.

1 WEEK! until Elevate Jiu-Jitsu's best ever Seminar 😲
It is our absolute honour to be hosting the one, the only, Professor Thalison Soares.
I don't have the time or the word limit to list his accomplishments here, but what I will say from personal experience is this.
Professor Thalison's expression of Jiu-Jitsu is incredible. His knowledge, his skill and most importantly, his ability to pass on his game changing concepts, are the best I've ever seen. His techniques and his energy are a gift that we at Elevate are extremely grateful to be sharing with our students 😍.
This Sunday, the 16th of January at 10am we welcome the maestro to our humble academy to share the latest and greatest techniques in his arsenal. You would be insane to miss this opportunity.

What a year! 2021 was a year of highs and lows, and proved more than ever how important it is to be a part of a community. At Elevate we strive to be more than a gym. More than a sporting team. We are a family!

There are many amazing gyms out there, with incredible Jiu-Jitsu to be sure. But we at Elevate recognise the need for more. We don't strive for medals, those are a result of your commitment, not the reason we commit. What we aim for is nothing short than the perfection of our character.

To all the people who stepped on the Rings MMA and Elevate mats last year, THANK YOU! the support and effort that everyone has given was nothing short of incredible (especially considering the circumstances 😅). And the Progress everyone has made is proof positive that we are well on the path to achieving our dreams.

But we are just getting started 😎
