Working bee made a big difference to our site. Long grass gone no snake hazards, lots of morning glory weeds taken away. Thanks everyone great job 😊👍

BOCC held a working bee yesterday, the girls got stuck into polishing the boats. They also helped the men mow and whipper snipper the outrigger area.
Today we went for an early paddle 6.45am bit windy but no rain we headed down to Missingham Brisge to catch some waves. Caught a few waves on the 6 man. We were doing 27kmh on the best wave of the day, Tina At number 1 was submerged in wave at the front.
Julie & Di caught a nice wave On the 2 person and rode it almost to the bridge and made a graceful exit near Shaws Bay. This was their first wave on the 2 person, they did well! GO GIRLS.

On Saturday BOCC and Bagot Park Landcare joined together to hold a garage sale. It was A very successful day with both community groups raising maintenance funds 💰 for their groups. Our group of volunteers were entertained by our school teacher and engineer members for at least an hour and a half while they tried to erect the basketball stand that we had for sale. Finally in frustration they declared there was a piece missing. Just at the crucial moment Tina arrived, who had donated the stand and said everything was there. “Did you check inside the larger pipe? ...... uh oh it was there all the time hiding all they had to do was release the lever. Lol🤣🤣 And then it was sold 😊

Another amazing morning, set off in an OC6 and an OC2 from the beach where BOCC is located (near the sailing club). Stopped off in front of the Marine Rescue tower to radio in that we were heading out for an hours paddle.
The sun was rising the bar was smooth as a baby's bum so out we heading into the Pacific Ocean to look for Humpback Whales.
Eyes right, eyes left no whales and THEN up ahead there they were! Blowing out their air and gently rising and shallow diving. We sat and watched these majestic giants for a while then as we started to head back, a big Daddy popped up very close to Brian and Graham. There was a bit more action with some tail flips and one good breach as we headed back.
