On Saturday 29th August saw the final of the Ballina Men's triples, the winners were Jeffrey Martin, Brett Fraser and John Harley, defeating John Heard, Robert Saric and Gary Simon. Great effort both teams.

For the last 2 days the Ballina Ladies Senior Fours team has been doing battle at the State Championships. The team of Pauline Johns, Maree Grant, Lyn Morton and Wendy Clarke won 2 of their sectional games. They tied on point, but missed the semi - final on shots.
Another great effort by Ballina bowlers, well done Ladies.

On Saturday 22nd July Wendy Clarke contested the State Seniors Singles title and was rewarded with the runners up prize after being defeated by Joan Thomas (Forster) 25-21 in a hard fought match. Congratulations Wendy on a fantastic effort, Ballina is proud of you.

Wendy competed in the State Senior Pairs with Lyn Morton. They lost the first game then won the next 2. Another great effort by the Ballina Ladies.

Michael Fallows, Robert Saric and Warren Binney competed in the State Reserve Triples final at Towradgi Park Bowls Club. In sectional play we had 2 wins and a draw, unfortunately our margin was a little short to progress to the semi-finals. We had a draw with Wiseman's Park Bowls Club, and they went into the final series. They were eliminated by Temora who progressed to the final. In do so defeated Nyngan to gain the win and Reserve Triples shield.
