Everyone's favourite is back... and it's got company 🏰⚔️

Yes, the bouncy castle is back at the Event Village this year! Bounce away all that pre-ride nervous energy.

And this year, we've added something new: the Samurai Obstacle Course, a wobbly, wipeout-prone inflatable challenge that'll test balance and nerve for kids and brave adults alike. Fair warning: it's more fun to watch than it looks easy to complete.

Face painting, kiddie train, bounce house, Samurai Obstacle Course, the Event Village has a full day of fun sorted, whether you're riding or just along for the ride.

Last year we all had a bit of a laugh as Matt Read rode into the finish line having completed the better part of 12 km on the rim after losing the tube. He wasn't about the let the kids down, nor see the "DNF" next to his name!

While you don't need to be an expert to ride BITBG, a few quick tips never hurt. Whether you're doing the 12km fondo with the kids or lining up for Wongan Thrills, here's what's worth knowing before race day:

We have something new and exciting for the kids this year!

Alongside all the rides, we're bringing in CycleSense — a fun, cyclo-cross style skills obstacle course designed to test out your bike handling in the best way possible. Think tight turns, tricky obstacles, and plenty of giggles.

⏱️ Want to go for it? Get your circuit time recorded and chase a Personal Best, or see where you land on the leaderboard.
