Two of the best.
As always, it was lovely to have Andy and Andre up in Ballarat at Bear Cave HQ tonight. Excellent students, generous training partners, humble supporters, and full-on martial arts nerds.
With the longest trip home ahead of them of anyone else in the room, they were still the last ones on the mats chatting about the details of K-guard, then picking up a mop with me without a moments hesitation.

🐻🥋 Bear Cave Day Celebration! 💥🔥

What an incredible day bringing our whole Bear Cave family together! 🙌
Our kids kicked things off learning Smash Passing, AKA the “Boa Constrictor”! Showing focus, pressure, and growing confidence on the mats. 💪🐍

Then our adults levelled up with an awesome seminar on wrist locks from everywhere, sharpening technique and expanding their game. 🔒✨

We finished strong with hard rounds, great teamwork across all 5 schools, and proud moments celebrating new belts and stripes. 🥋👏

This is what Bear Cave is all about… learning, growing, and supporting each other every step of the journey. 🐻❤️

THIS WEEKEND!!!

This Saturday 11th of April we return to Knox for our twice a year team training day.

As always, there will be technical training, bulk rolling and the chance to award some well earned promotions. All Bear Cave members and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend. Any questions, let me know.

Tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon Jan 17th at 2:30pm my friend and student Shannon Sedgwick be running a Free No-Gi seminar at Bear Cave BJJ Knox.

All Bear Cave members and guests from other gyms are welcome and encouraged to attend. If you’re reading this, you’re invited.

Shannon is a technical coach and a seasoned and decorated competitor, as well as being an all round great guy. It promises to be a fantastic session with opportunities to learn some new skills and roll with people you don’t see often.
